Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Psychosocial impacts of post-disaster compensation processes: narrative systematic review

open access: yesBMC Psychology

Multimodal Engagement Assessment in Children During Invented Story Paradigm With a Social Robot

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A multimodal framework is proposed to assess children's engagement during storytelling interactions with a social robot. Gaze, physiological, and behavioral data are combined and validated against observer ratings. An automated gaze‐labeling strategy is introduced, and supervised classifiers achieve high accuracy. The study supports scalable engagement

Intimate partner violence and physical health in England: Gender stratified analyses of a probability sample survey

open access: yesWomen's Health
Background: Gender differences in the associated health outcomes of different forms of intimate partner violence (IPV) are understudied. The long-term effects of IPV on specific physical health conditions are also under-researched in comparison to the ...

Typology of Psychological Violence in Maqashid Sharia Perspective

open access: yesAt-turas: Jurnal Studi Keislaman
Psychological violence in the household is a criminal offense that has not been explained with certainty. The PKDRT Law itself only explains the formulation of the consequences of psychological violence. Thus, it is important to create a typology of this

IL‐7R‐Enriched Extracellular Vesicles From the Thymus Drive Colitis via Promoting Neutrophil Extracellular Trap Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) pathogenesis remains unclear. This study reveals that thymus‐originated IL‐7R‐enriched extracellular vesicles exacerbate colitis by promoting neutrophil extracellular traps via a thymus‐gut axis, uncovering an inter‐organ communication mechanism in inflammatory bowel disease pathogenesis.

Palatable‐Food–Driven Top‐Down Circuit Inhibits PVNCRF Activity to Mitigate Stress Via Peri‐PVNCRFR1 Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Palatable food alleviates stress and prevents anxiety. This study uncovers a dedicated neural pathway: dopamine release in the PFC activates D1R neurons, whose projections to the peri‐PVN engage a population of anxiolytic CRFR1 neurons. These neurons then inhibit stress‐induced hyperactivity of PVNCRF neurons, providing a circuit‐level explanation for ...
