Salivary Oxytocin and Socio‐Emotional Functioning in Children and Adolescents With and Without Autism Spectrum Disorder

Salivary oxytocin levels were associated with self‐esteem and perceived social support across children and adolescents with and without ASD, whereas inflammatory markers showed no significant associations. These findings suggest that oxytocin‐related processes may contribute to socio‐emotional functioning regardless of diagnostic status.
