Looking for ecological control of carrot psyllid [PDF]
The results suggest that a one-week trap replacement period, which is the current practise in carrot psyllid monitoring, is too long at the early growth stages of carrot.

Diversity and specificity of sap-feeding herbivores and their parasitoids on Australian fig trees [PDF]
The ecology, diversity, and parasitoid complex of plant–sap feeding insects of the family Homotomidae (Hemiptera: Psylloidea) specialised on fig trees (Ficus) have so far received little research attention.

Lecanicillium aphanocladii: a biocontrol agent against insect pests and phytopathogens
Recent research findings on the biocontrol potential of Lecanicillium aphanocladii fungus against insect‐pests and plant diseases were highlighted. This review indicates that several L. aphanocladii strains show great potential to be developed as multipurpose biocontrol agents active against several insect‐pests, plant diseases and plant parasitic ...

There is interest in using ligands of chemosensory binding proteins (CBP) to augment an insect’s responsiveness to chemosensory cues. We showed previously that combining a synthetic ligand of a CBP with limonene, a common citrus volatile, enhanced the ...

In vitro culture of the fastidious bacteria Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus in association with insect feeder cells [PDF]
Ca. Liberibacter asiaticus (LAS) is vectored by psyllids and is able to proliferate inside the insect. We therefore hypothesize that insect cells could act like feeder cells, providing nutrients in a continuous way and a favorable environment to the ...

The gall forming herbivores Lophodiplosis trifida and L. indentata reduced the growth of M. quinquenervia, with L. trifida exerting a stronger suppressive effect than L. indentata. The addition of L. trifida enhanced the negative impact of L. indentata on plant growth, whereas the presence of L. indentata did not affect the impacts of L. trifida.
