PtIPtI bond energy in dinuclear PtI complexes. A theoretical study
Chemical Physics Letters, 1997Abstract The metal-metal bond of [Pt2Cl2(CO)4] and [Pt2Cl4(CO)2]2− is investigated with the ab initio MO/MP2 method. The PtIPtI bond energy (ΔE) is calculated to be 39–58 kcal/mol, being much larger than those for Pt0Pt0 and PtIIPtII reported previously. In [Pt2Cl4(CO)2]2−, a negative ΔE is obtained without considering a countercation.

PTI and ETI: convergent pathways with diverse elicitors
Trends in Plant Science, 2022Plants rely on PAMP-triggered immunity (PTI) and effector-triggered immunity (ETI) to detect invading pathogens and subsequently activate defense mechanisms. Recently, four Nature papers (Yuan et al., Ngou et al., Pruitt et al., and Tian et al.)demonstrated that important components in PTI and ETI are required for both PTI and ETI, and PTI and ETI ...

Recent structural studies of PtI
Synthetic Metals, 1999Abstract The halogen-bridged mixed-valence metal complexes (MX) have been the object of numerous studies probing the properties of their quasi-one-dimensional M-X sublattice in which the charge disproportionation δ of the metal (M 3−δ /M 3-δ can be tuned from 0 to 1. We have recently investigated the structure of a fully deuterated sample of [Pt(en)
