Epidemiology of PTLD

2010
Several different types of risk factors (host, infectious, transplant immunosuppression) are associated with posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD) development Epstein—Barr virus (EBV) infection is the single most important risk factor PTLD is a significant cause of earlier graft loss and added ...

Prognostic Factors of PTLD after SOT

2021
Similar to other B-cell malignancies, the prognosis of post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD) subsequent to solid organ transplantation follows comparable principles. Despite remaining one of the most reliable prognostic systems, the International Prognostic Index does not fully hit the mark in regard to the complexity of PTLD and new ...

Epidemiology and Prognosis of PTLD After HSCT

2021
PTLD is a relatively rare but important and feared complication of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). Several different types of risk factors (infectious, type of transplant, immunosuppression) are associated with PTLD development after HSCT. Most PTLD cases after HSCT are Epstein-Barr virus positive. Most PTLD cases occur early after HSCT

Recent developments in the pathobiology of PTLD

Pathology, 2014
Post transplant lymphoproliferative disease (PTLD) represents a spectrum of lymphoproliferative processes that may develop in the immunocompromised host following stem cell and solid organ transplantation. PTLD is most commonly of B-cell origin and is associated with the Epstein Barr virus (EBV) in 60–80% of cases.

Organ Specific Issues of PTLD — Kidney

2010
Incidence of Posttransplant lymphoproliferative disorders (PTLD) in kidney transplant recipients is relatively low: 0.4% at 1 year, 1.2% at 5 years, and 1.6% after 10 years. Risk factors of PTLD in kidney transplant recipients are principally EBV seronegativity and high level of immunosuppression.
