The Effect of PTV Size on PTV Dose Homogeneity
2000The Nomos COR VUS1 System is a clinically-accepted method for IMRT treatment planning. Its dose calculation algorithm uses finite-area pencil beams with typical areas2 of either 1 cm2 (1 X 1), 2 cm2 (1 X 2), or 0.5 cm2 (0.5 X 1). In our particular system, a Siemen’s PRIMART3 linear accelerator using step and shoot static fields, we have selected a ...

Picosecond strain waves in PTV
Synthetic Metals, 1997Abstract We studied the propagation of thermo-optically excited transient strain waves in thin films of PTV by means of the ps time-resolved pump-probe technique. We find that ultrasound at high frequencies (above 10GHz) does not properly propagate through the polymer film.

For reliable diagnosis of porcine teschovirus (PTV) infection we created an RT-PCR-based molecular strategy for serotyping that encompassed the dominant neutralizing antigenic site of PTV, followed by phylogenetic analyses of amplicons. We identified neutralizing antigenic sites of PTV-1 Talfan strain through epitope mapping of neutralizing monoclonal ...

Effects of image compression on PIV and PTV analysis
Optics & Laser Technology, 1999Abstract PIV and PTV analysis require the acquisition of series of images, representing the position of seeding particles at different times, resulting in a great amount of data to be stored on magnetic support, such as hard disk and magnetic tape. Typical dimensions of a PIV image are 1000×1000 pixels which results in 1 Mb per image (grey levels) to

High Performance Computing of Digital-Holographic PTV
2010 IEEE/ACIS 9th International Conference on Computer and Information Science, 2010We introduce the high performance computing of Digital Holographic PTV. The algorithm is used in (1) the reconstruction of particle by digital hologram for parallel computing and (2) the reconstruction of particle by digital hologram for FPGA and (3) the reconstruction of particle by digital hologram for grid computing.

Establishment of a Videogrammetric PTV System
1996A PTV system must be implemented according to the requirements of the hydromechanical problem studied and the image- and data processing envisaged. This will be exemplified in the following.

The use of neural techniques in PIV and PTV
Measurement Science and Technology, 1997The neural network method uses ideas developed from the physiological modelling of the human brain in computational mechanics. The technique provides mechanisms analogous to biological processes such as learning from experience, generalizing from learning data to a wider set of stimuli and extraction of key attributes from excessively noisy data sets ...

3D-PTV measurements of the wake of a sphere
Measurement Science and Technology, 20043D-PTV measurements were conducted on the wake of a sphere. The Reynolds number is 1130 with diameter d = 30 mm. The measurement system consisted of three CCD cameras, an image grabber, an Ar-ion laser and a host computer. Structural analysis was adopted for the analysis on the wake using the obtained velocity profiles. Statistical turbulent properties

Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV)
1996Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) is one of the oldest measuring techniques in fluid mechanics. It is often called low particle number density Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) (Adrian, 1991). The two methods have indeed in common that they determine the velocity from the displacement of particles in a moving fluid during a prescribed time interval ...
