Effects of post-activation performance enhancement on tennis serve velocity and accuracy

open access: yesScientific Reports
This study systematically compared the effects of different activation sites and modes on serve velocity (SV) and serve accuracy (SA) across multiple time windows to clarify the time course and practical significance of post-activation performance ...

A Unified Hierarchical Multiscale Fusion Framework for Drug–Target Affinity Prediction: From Benchmark Performance to Nanomolar Inhibitor Discovery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multimodal fusion framework integrating sequence, atomic, and fragment representations captures drug–target interactions across multiple scales. The model delivers strong predictive performance and enables efficient virtual screening. Applied to hematopoietic progenitor kinase 1 (HPK1), it identifies structurally diverse inhibitors with nanomolar ...

Do States Free Ride in Antitrust Enforcement? [PDF]

open access: yes
Recent research has documented a substantial role in antitrust enforcement by U.S. states. While many of the cases litigated involve small local firms, a non-trivial portion encompass multiplestate issues.

Macrophage PABPC4‐SPP1 Axis Orchestrates Immunosuppression in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In the CRC microenvironment, macrophage PABPC4 binds to the 3′UTR of SPP1 mRNA to stabilize its expression, thereby sustaining M2‐like immunosuppressive macrophage polarization. Concurrently, this axis suppresses CD8+ T cell effector functions via CD44 signaling, collectively fostering an immunosuppressive niche that drives tumor progression.

Decoding Viral Transmission Dynamics in Structured Populations Using a Microfluidic Herd‐Immunity‐on‐a‐Chip Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A microfluidic Herd‐Immunity‐on‐a‐Chip experimentally recreates structured contact networks to quantify viral transmission dynamics. By controlling susceptible, infected, and non‐susceptible populations, the platform reveals how contact topology governs the reproduction number, outbreak propagation, herd‐immunity–like behavior, and intervention ...

Investigating Discretionary Environmental Enforcement: a pilot experiment [PDF]

open access: yes
In this work, we conducted a laboratory experiment in order to test the findings of a theoretical environmental enforcement model played as a strategic game where the firm’s behavior is influenced by the course of actions discretionally undertaken by ...

DIXDC1 Promotes Lymphatic Metastasis and Resistance to Cuproptosis in Bladder Cancer Through Mediating DLAT

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DIXDC1 drives bladder cancer progression by binding and stabilizing DLAT. This axis enhances NEK7 and CCNE2 mRNA stability to promote proliferation and lymphatic metastasis, while limiting copper‐induced DLAT oligomerization to reduce cuproptosis sensitivity, identifying DIXDC1 as a potential target linking metastasis with cuproptosis resistance ...

Evaluating drug law enforcement interventions directed towards methamphetamine in Australia [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This report presents a preliminary analysis comparing the costs and impacts different types of law enforcement have on methamphetamine use. Methamphetamine belongs in the class of stimulant drugs referred to as Amphetamine Type Stimulants (ATS).

AARS1‐Mediated H3K27 Lactylation Rewires Glycolysis to Sustain Aggressive and Recurrent Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS1 drives PI3K–AKT–mTOR‐dependent glycolysis in bladder cancer, promoting lactate accumulation, increased lactylation, H3K27la enrichment at the HK2 promoter, and HK2 transcription. HK2 reinforces glycolysis, sustaining a metabolic–epigenetic program associated with tumor progression, recurrence, and metastasis.
