Axiomatization of Ratio Equilibria in Public Good Economies. [PDF]

open access: yes
Using consistency properties, we characterize the cost-sharing scheme arising from the ratio equilibrium concept for economies with public goods. The characterization turns out to be surprisingly simple and direct.

Distinct Immunomodulatory Strategies Guide Mesenchymal Stromal/Stem Cell‐Mediated Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Bone regeneration by mesenchymal stem cells is strongly influenced by immune signals. This study shows that priming stem cells with regulatory immune cells or an inflammation‐resolving lipid molecule enhances bone formation through distinct immune pathways.

Did the Devil Make Them Do It? The Effects of Religion and Religiosity in Public Goods and Trust Games [PDF]

open access: yes
We test whether religious affiliation and participation in religious services are associated with behavior in public goods and trust games. Overall, religious affiliation is unrelated to individual behavior. However, we find some weak evidence that among

Tetrastigma Hemsleyanum Polysaccharide Suppresses Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer by Disrupting the Hippo‐YAP/TEAD4‐PDIA4 Axis and Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress Adaptation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) exhibits addiction to chronic endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, which sustains an aggressive metastatic phenotype through activation of the unfolded protein response (UPR). Here, we identify a previously unrecognized “ER‐stress addiction” axis in which the Hippo pathway effector TEAD4 directly ...

Enhancing coordination in water management through communication tools: Results from experimental games in Coastal Bangladesh‏

open access: yesInternational Journal of the Commons, 2017
Canal siltation is a pervasive problem in coastal Bangladesh causing water-logging and losses in crop yield. Although timely maintenance of canals through regular contributions from the community can solve this problem; it often breaks down because of ...

Circular RNA circNrip1 Interacts with SYNCRIP to Promote Neuropathic Pain by Stabilizing Tlr2 mRNA in Primary Sensory Neurons

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Model of circNrip1 (cNrip1) upregulation driving neuropathic pain mechanisms. After peripheral nerve injury, increased FUS triggers the formation and upregulation of cNrip1 in injured DRG neurons. Upregulated cNrip1 recruits SYNCRIP to the 3′‐UTR of Tlr2 mRNA by binding to both, thereby promoting SYNCRIP‐triggered Tlr2 mRNA stability and increasing ...

Evidential Equilibria: Heuristics and Biases in Static Games of Complete Information

open access: yesGames, 2015
Standard equilibrium concepts in game theory find it difficult to explain the empirical evidence from a large number of static games, including the prisoners’ dilemma game, the hawk-dove game, voting games, public goods games and oligopoly games.

Positive Interactions Promote Public Cooperation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The public goods game is the classic laboratory paradigm for studying collective action problems. Each participant chooses how much to contribute to a common pool that returns benefits to all participants equally.

TRAP5 Inhibition Targeting Scar‐Associated Macrophages Ameliorates Acute Kidney Injury to Chronic Kidney Disease Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study delineates macrophage heterogeneity along the acute kidney injury to chronic kidney disease transition. Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals a TRAP5+ scar‐associated macrophage subset driven by Spp1–Cd44 signaling and mitochondrial metabolic reprogramming.
