Liver‐Targeted Gallium‐Polyphenol Network by Disrupting the ROS/NETs/PANoptosis Axis for Precision Acute Liver Injury Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Acute liver injury (ALI), driven by diverse insults such as drug toxicity and ischemia‐reperfusion, poses a high mortality risk and lacks targeted therapies. While reactive oxygen species (ROS), neutrophil extracellular traps (NETs), and a coordinated cell death pathway PANoptosis have been implicated, their interplay as a unified pathogenic ...

A few can do: Ethical behavior and the provision of public goods in an agent-based model [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper I examine the influence which a population of different behavioral types may have on the provision of public goods. In particular, the population or subject pool consists of three behavioral types: myopic selfish agents, enlightened selfish

Interplay of Crystallization and Amorphous Spinodal Decomposition During Thermal Annealing of Organic Photoactive Layers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phase‐Field simulations are carried out to elucidate nanomorphology formation mechanisms in organic photoactive layers under thermal annealing. The predicted bulk heterojunction structures are in excellent agreement with Scanning Electron Microscopy measurements.

Did the Devil Make Them Do It? The Effects of Religion in Public Goods and Trust Games* [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We test whether religious affiliation and participation in religious services are associated with behavior in public goods and trust games. Overall, religious affiliation is unrelated to individual behavior. However, we find some weak evidence that among

Sustainable Materials Design With Multi‐Modal Artificial Intelligence

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Critical mineral scarcity, high embodied carbon, and persistent pollution from materials processing intensify the need for sustainable materials design. This review frames the problem as multi‐objective optimization under heterogeneous, high‐dimensional evidence and highlights multi‐modal AI as an enabling pathway.

Advanced Dental Composite Technology via Bisilanized Dual‐Action Nanofillers for Biofilm Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multimodal research strategy has led to the development of an innovative resin‐based composite (RBC) with dual antibacterial action. The S_CM‐RBC formula showed strong antibiofilm activity, excellent mechanical strength, and biosafety. It effectively controlled oral bacteria in prevention of caries recurrence, and maintained pulp health in a rat ...

Inducing a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy in Public Goods Games. [PDF]

open access: yes
This study explores how a self-fulfilling prophecy can solve a social dilemma. We ran two experimental treatments, baseline and automata. Both consisted of a finitely repeated public goods game with a surprise restart.
