Democracy and compliance in public goods games [PDF]
I investigate if, how, and why the effect of a contribution rule in a public goods game depends on how it is implemented: endogenously chosen or externally imposed.

Public goods games in directed networks [PDF]
Public goods games in undirected networks are generally known to have pure Nash equilibria, which are easy to find. In contrast, we prove that, in directed networks, a broad range of public goods games have intractable equilibrium problems: The existence of pure Nash equilibria is NP-hard to decide, and mixed Nash equilibria are PPAD-hard to find.

Continuous Spatial Public Goods Game Based on Particle Swarm Optimization with Memory Stability
Public goods games have been extensively studied to determine the mechanism behind cooperation in social dilemmas. Previous public goods games based on particle swarm algorithms enabled individuals to integrate their past best strategies with the current

Unraveling Public Good Games [PDF]
This paper provides experimental evidence on how players predict end-game effects in a linear public good game. Our regression analysis yields a measure of the relative importance of priors and signals on subjects’ beliefs on contributions and allows us to conclude that, first, the weight of the signal is relatively unimportant, while priors have a ...

The Evolution of Networks and Local Public Good Provision: A Potential Approach
In this paper, we propose a game in which each player decides with whom to establish a costly connection and how much local public good is provided when benefits are shared among neighbors.

Public Goods Games on Coevolving Social Network Models
Public good games are a metaphor for modeling cooperative behavior in groups in the presence of incentives to free ride. In the model presented here agents play a public good game with their neighbors in a social network structure. Agents' decision rules

We propose a model of cancer initiation and progression where tumor growth is modulated by an evolutionary coordination game. Evolutionary games of cancer are widely used to model frequency-dependent cell interactions with the most studied games being ...
