Modified Protocols for Internet Key Exchange (IKE) Using Public Encryption and Signature Keys
2011 Eighth International Conference on Information Technology: New Generations, 2011IPSec provides a framework of protocols for protecting transmissions over an IP network. This allows the creation of a secure VPN over the existing Internet, with data fully encrypted and secure when transferred between two points. IPSec resides at the network level and can be implemented regardless of applications used, giving remote users full access

We put forward exchange agreement certificate mutual authentication and the session key exchange protocol based on wireless sensor network, which is an improved version of the traditional certificate protocol. In the optimization scheme, the adversary cannot obtain the secret value, and each session process generates a different key, so as to ensure ...

VeriKey: A Dynamic Certificate Verification System for Public Key Exchanges
2008This paper presents a novel framework to substantiate self-signed certificates in the absence of a trusted certificate authority. In particular, we aim to address the problem of web-based SSL man-in-the-middle attacks. This problem originates from the fact that public keys are distributed through insecure channels prior to encryption.

Distributed Public Key Infrastructure and PSK Exchange Based on Blockchain Technology
2018 IEEE International Conference on Internet of Things (iThings) and IEEE Green Computing and Communications (GreenCom) and IEEE Cyber, Physical and Social Computing (CPSCom) and IEEE Smart Data (SmartData), 2018Public key distribution and device authentication remain the main security challenges in many systems and applications. Existing solutions are based on Public Key Infrastructures (PKI) backed by Certificate Authorities (CA) to validate the authenticity of the devices.

Internet Key Exchange Protocol Using ECC-Based Public Key Certificate
2013Internet Key Exchange (IKE) protocol helps to exchange cryptographic techniques and keying materials as prior security association (SA) between two IP hosts. Similar to the several enhancements, the present paper proposes an efficient implementation of IKE using ECC-based public-key certificate that provides required security properties with much ...

What Public Keys Can Do for 3-Party, Password-Authenticated Key Exchange
2014We study three-party, password-authenticated key exchange protocols where the trusted third party has a high-entropy private key to which corresponds a public key. In this scenario we can maintain the user-friendliness of password authentication while provably achieving security properties that ordinary password-authenticated key exchange protocols ...

Multi-Channel Key Agreement Using Encrypted Public Key Exchange (Transcript of Discussion)
2010The context for this work is the ubiquitous computing market, where everybody is surrounded by a cloud of little devices that all talk to each other to accomplish various things, and the world we’re in is one of talking to strangers.

Open key exchange: How to defeat dictionary attacks without encrypting public keys
1998Classical cryptographic protocols based on shared secret keys often are vulnerable to key-guessing attacks. For security, the keys must be strong, difficult to memorize for humans. Bellovin and Merritt [4] proposed “encrypted key exchange” (EKE) protocols, to frustrate key-guessing attacks.
