The 3rd‐generation magnetic super‐stable mineralizer M‐MgAl‐700 features a core‐shell structure, strong superparamagnetism, large surface area, and abundant oxygen defects. It achieves exceptional Cd(II) and As(V) mineralization capacities, reducing both pollutants in co‐contaminated water and soil to meet national standards.

Public Spending, Public Deficits, and Government Coalitions [PDF]
The study examines the relationship between types of government and level of public spending. There are two competing perspectives about the consequences of coalition governments on the size of public expenditures.

A physics‐based framework resolving graphite phase‐separation dynamics establishes a predictive, degradation‐aware fast‐charging methodology for commercial Li‐ion batteries. The resulting model‐informed protocol achieves 20%–80% state‐of‐charge in 14 min while matching the long‐term degradation of a commercial 25‐minute EV strategy.

THE INCIDENCE OF PUBLIC SPENDING ON ECONOMIC GROWTH [PDF]
The size of government expenditures and its effect on long-run economic growth, and vice versa, has been an issue of sustained interest for decades. Many studies have analyzed how government expenditures contribute to economic growth.

Mechanosensitive Piezo1/Osteocalcin/Irisin Axis Protects Against Disuse‐Induced Muscle Atrophy
Mechanical unloading suppresses bone Piezo1 expression, which reduces circulating undercarboxylated osteocalcin (unOCN). unOCN reduction subsequently exacerbates IMM‐induced Fndc5/Irisin decrease and drives severe muscle atrophy. Bone Piezo1 activation or exogenous osteocalcin/Irisin ameliorate muscle atrophy, while muscle‐specific Gprc6a or Fndc5 ...

The study elucidates that paternal preconception stress can drive offspring hyperresponsivity of the stress system via hypomethylation of a specific DNA region in sperm. This key link is confirmed in a cohort of prospective fathers: the epigenetic alteration is associated with elevated stress hormone levels.

Public spending on education: Its impact on students skipping classes and completing school
Empirical results using cross-country data suggest that public spending on education increases the rate of students skipping school but does not influence the rate of students completing school.

Compensating Whom For What? Reconsidering the Composition of Public Spending [PDF]
This paper reports the preliminary work under way to analyse the composition of public spending in response to increased economic openness in the advanced industrial societies over recent decades. The compensation hypothesis predicts that public spending

Silicon hot‐carrier photodetectors offer a CMOS‐compatible pathway for SWIR detection but suffer from intrinsically low quantum efficiency. Here, we introduce a quasi‐generalized antireflection coating (QARC) that universally enhances optical absorption and quantum efficiency, enabling the first CMOS‐compatible SWIR imaging with silicon hot‐carrier ...
