Occurrence and pathogenicity of Puccinia coronata var avenae f. sp. avenae on oat in South Africa

Crop Protection, 2020
Abstract Crown rust, caused by Puccinia coronata Corda var. avenae f. sp. avenae (Urban & Markova) (Pca), can negatively impact oat (Avena sativa L.) production in South Africa and little is known about pathogenic variability and cultivar response.

Epistasis and Maternal Effect in Resistance to Puccinia coronata Cda. f. sp. avenae Eriks in Oats (Avena sp.)

Agricultural Sciences in China, 2010
The objective of this paper was to investigate the mode of heredity for resistance in oats (Avena sp.) to crown rust caused by Puccinia coronata Cda. f. sp. avenae Eriks. Eight generations of 2 crosses were used to estimate genetic effects and narrow-sense heritability (NSH).

Reactions of eastern Canada oat genotypes to Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae

Canadian Journal of Plant Science, 2020
Crown rust, caused by Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae (Pca), is the most important disease and yield limiting factor of oat production in eastern Canada. In this study 101 oat genotypes composed of 51 cultivars and 50 breeding lines from eight oat breeding programs across Canada were evaluated for seedling reactions to six common Pca races, as well as

The effects of temperature and light on interactions between Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae and Avena spp

Australasian Plant Pathology, 2002
Two experiments were conducted to examine the effects of temperature and light on the interaction between different genotypes of Avena and Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae (Pca). In the first experiment, 45 oat lines were tested with two pathogenically distinct isolates of Pca under three temperature and two light regimes.

Genetic Analysis and Physical Mapping of Oat Adult Plant Resistance Loci Against Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae

Phytopathology®, 2023
Six quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for adult plant resistance against oat crown rust ( Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae) were identified from mapping three recombinant inbred populations. Using genotyping-by-sequencing with markers called against the OT3098 v1 reference genome, the QTLs were mapped on six different chromosomes: Chr1D, Chr4D, Chr5A ...

БИОЛОГИЯ РАЗВИТИЯ ВОЗБУДИТЕЛЯ КОРОНЧАТОЙ РЖАВЧИНЫ (PUCCINIA CORONATA CDA. F. SP. AVENAE FRASER ET LED.)

2023

The production of phytoalexins by oat in response to crown rust, Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae

Physiological Plant Pathology, 1981
The antifungal compounds accumulated only in the incompatible host-parasite combinations; the time of rapid accumulation coincided with the time of the retardation of the growth of infection hyphae. Three major compounds were isolated. They are highly hydrophilic nitrogen-containing phenolics.

The role of avenalumin in the resistance of oat to crown rust, Puccinia coronata f. sp. avenae

Physiological Plant Pathology, 1982
The relationship between the degree of expression of resistance and the production of avenalumins was investigated in the interactions of 2 physiological races of Puccinia coronata avenae and 21 oat Pc lines each carrying a different single major gene for resistance. Avenalumins accumulated in all incompatible interactions.
