Mechanical Performances of Transverse Rib Bar During Pull-Out Test
International Journal of Applied Mechanics, 2019To evaluate mechanical performances of the transverse rib bar and reveal anchoring mechanism between the grout and steel bar, a series of pull-out tests were carried out, the numerical simulations and theoretical analysis of grout failure modes were also

Probabilistic analysis of a pull-out test
Materials and Structures, 2009This paper presents a sensitivity analysis of the pull-out strength of reinforcement embedded in concrete. Considering both European and French design codes, this failure strength depends on the variability of uncertain parameters such as Young’s modulus of concrete and yield stresses of materials (concrete and steel); moreover, two failure modes can ...

Pull-out tests on R.C. corroded specimens
2015The structural behaviour of reinforced concrete structures is strictly related to bond performance between steel and concrete. In the present paper, bond tests on r.c. specimens in presence of corrosion are performed in order to evaluate the damage on bond mechanism due to corrosion. The results of the tests on concrete specimens with RILEM type shape,

Direct Digital Image Analysis of Local Displacements and Strains in a Pull-out Test
Structures, 2018Reinforced concrete (RC) is the most popular building material, where RC structural members are made of concrete and reinforcing steel bars (rebars). The structural behavior of a RC element is based on the combined action of concrete and steel rebars ...

Pull-out tests on handcrafted headed studs
Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Structures and Buildings, 2019The aim of this paper is to contribute towards better understanding of the behaviour of site-welded headed studs embedded in normal-weight concrete. The axial failure loads of these studs estimated by design codes and other calculation methods are conservative and inaccurate for concrete cone detachment.

Comparison of Materials for Staple Pull-Out Tests
Journal of Testing and Evaluation, 1992Abstract Maximum pull-out forces of 16 mm bridge width staples of 10, 15, 20, and 25 mm leg length were tested in cadaver femoral metaphyseal bone. Pull-out force was related to leg length, but there was a very wide standard deviation. A plastic composite bone and beech hardwood were tested as substitutes and found to be unsuitable.

Advances in pull-out testing and data analysis
Composites Science and Technology, 1991Abstract In spite of the apparently unrealistic character of the single filament pull-out test when compared to the complexity of the composite material, much information can be derived that has to do with the most fundamental aspects of the fibre/matrix mechanical interaction.

Pull-out test analysis for geo-reinforcement
Geotextiles and Geomembranes, 1999Abstract Pull-out tests are extensively used to simulate the soil-reinforcement interaction mechanism along the interface. A simplified analysis for evaluation of the interaction mechanism in a general pull-out test is proposed for geo-reinforcement.

Pull-out tests with fibre-metal systems
Composite Interfaces, 1995Fibre pull-out experiments have been carried out to compare the behaviour of reactive and non-reactive fibre-reinforced metal systems. The test samples were made by melting the metal matrix in vacuum and lowering the fibre a known depth into the liquid.
