Push and Pull Production Systems: Issues and Comparisons

Operations Research, 1992
Concerns about American manufacturing competitiveness compel new interest in alternative production control strategies. In this paper, we examine the behavior of push and pull production systems in an attempt to explain the apparent superior performance of pull systems.

An adaptive pull strategy for remanufacturing systems

Journal of Intelligent Manufacturing, 2012
Recently, remanufacturing systems have been studied from various viewpoints. Van der Laan and Teunter (Eur J Oper Res 175(2):1084---1102, 2006), for example, proposed simple heuristics for push and pull remanufacturing strategies. However, because they are only simple heuristics they are not very useful in a stochastic demand situation.

Pull Production Systems

2021
This chapter aims to organize knowledge about pull production systems by presenting the underlying concepts of lean manufacturing as for its origin, principles, and relations with PPC. Pull production is one the fundamental principles of lean manufacturing, and its implementation can bring positive impacts.

PULL-IN STABILITY OF A FRACTAL MEMS SYSTEM AND ITS PULL-IN PLATEAU

Fractals, 2022
The pull-in instability is the inherent property of a micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) when the voltage is larger than its threshold value. Recently, a fractal MEMS system was proposed to overcome the pull-in instability with great success, and it has opened a total new path for the so-called pull-in stability.
