Background ― Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH) is a rare life-threatening form of pulmonary artery hypertension. CTEPH is potentially curable by performing surgical operation – pulmonary thrombendarteriectomy. Unfortunately, about 36%

The non-obligatory role of endothelial cells in the relaxation of arterial smooth muscle by acetylcholine [PDF]
The concept of Endothelium Derived Relaxing Factor (EDRF), put forward by Furchgott in the earlier 80s of the past century, implies that nitric oxide (NO) produced by NO synthase (NOS) in the endothelium in response to acetylcholine (ACh) passively ...

Two hundred nine children with congenital heart defects characterized by excessive pulmonary blood flow underwent pulmonary artery banding at The Hospital for Sick Children from January, 1972, through December, 1982. The indications for banding, rather than complete repair, varied with the type of cardiac defect as well as with the year of presentation

This study presents a binary tumor‐microenvironment‐on‐a‐chip (T‐MOC) system incorporating multicellular tumor spheroids (MCTs) as an alternative preclinical platform to evaluate the efficacy of anticancer natural products. The T‐MOC model reproduces in vivo drug delivery barriers and physiological conditions, enabling morphological analysis to predict

SCAP/ARDS patients show reduced unsaturated fatty acids (UFAs) but higher PARK7 and lactate in plasma. PARK7 correlates positively with lactate and negatively with UFAs. Pulmonary endothelial cell multi‐omics show FADS1/2 downregulation and impaired PUFA metabolism. Lactate boosts PARK7 via H3K14 lactylation, and PARK7 then restores FADS1/2.

Targeted Degradation of sGRP78 Alleviates the Immunosuppressive Tumor Microenvironment
Soluble GRP78 (sGRP78) is identified as a novel tumor‐derived soluble factor that induces regulatory T cells (Treg). sGRP78 serves as an excellent serological biomarker for predicting the efficacy of neoadjuvant therapy in breast cancer patients. sGRP78 specifically binds to B cells, inducing the expression of IL‐10 and PD‐L1, thereby promoting Treg ...
