Pulmonary Artery Aneurysms: Four Case Reports and Literature Review
Aneurysms of the pulmonary artery are proven to be a very rare entity. Association with structural cardiac anomalies, structural vascular anomalies, pulmonary hypertension, vasculitis, and infection has been noted.

Numerical predictions of shear stress and cyclic stretch in the healthy pulmonary vasculature [PDF]
Isolated post-capillary pulmonary hypertension (Ipc-PH) occurs due to left heart failure, which contributes to 1 out of every 9 deaths in the United States. In some patients, through unknown mechanisms, Ipc-PH transitions to combined pre-/post-capillary PH (Cpc-PH), diagnosed by an increase in pulmonary vascular resistance and associated with a ...

Designing for Degradation: Transient Devices Enabled by (Nano)Cellulose
Recent progress in transient devices enabled by (nano)cellulosic materials is reviewed. Transiency mechanisms, advantages of nanocelluloses, and a suite of applications are discussed. A circular thinking approach coupled with life cycle assessment is applied to critically revisit the potential, advantages, and challenges of nanocellulose‐enabled ...

The Relationship of Pulmonary Artery Copper Concentrations and Genes Involved in Copper Homeostasis in Cattle, Swine, and Goats, [PDF]
Liver and pulmonary artery tissue from 5 Angus cross bred steers, 6 goats, and 6 pigs were collected at a commercial abattoir to examine the relationship of pulmonary artery copper (Cu) concentrations and genes involved in copper homeostasis.

Automated segmentation of the pulmonary arteries in low-dose CT by vessel tracking [PDF]
We present a fully automated method for top-down segmentation of the pulmonary arterial tree in low-dose thoracic CT images. The main basal pulmonary arteries are identified near the lung hilum by searching for candidate vessels adjacent to known airways, identified by our previously reported airway segmentation method.

Predicting Pulmonary Hypertension by Electrocardiograms Using Machine Learning [PDF]
Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is a condition of high blood pressure that affects the arteries in the lungs and the right side of the heart (Mayo Clinic, 2017). A mean pulmonary artery pressure greater than 25 mmHg is defined as Pulmonary hypertension.
