High Accuracy Pulmonary Vessel Segmentation for Contrast and Non-contrast CT Images and Its Clinical Evaluation [PDF]
Accurate segmentation of pulmonary vessels plays a very critical role in diagnosing and assessing various lung diseases. In clinical practice, diagnosis is typically carried out using CTPA images. However, there is a lack of high-precision pulmonary vessel segmentation algorithms for CTPA, and pulmonary vessel segmentation for NCCT poses an even ...

On the Relentless Pursuit of an Oral Insulin Delivery System: How Far is Too Far?
Injectable insulin preparations have far outpaced oral ones by virtue of adequate bioavailability and are driven by innovations, including insulin pumps, real‐time blood glucose monitoring, and artificial intelligence. In contrast, oral insulin delivery systems, including nanomedicines, continue to struggle and lag due to varied reasons.

Binding energy and electronic structure calculations are used to assess the ability of metal–organic framework (MOF)‐TiO2 composite materials to detect volatile organic compounds found in human breath. Electronic structure changes are measured by comparing density of states profiles using Wasserstein distances.

Inhalable Hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p Liposomes Attenuate Pulmonary Fibrosis
The study explores inhalable hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p‐loaded liposomes as a treatment for bleomycin‐induced pulmonary fibrosis in mice. Hsa‐miR‐30a‐3p is electroporated into liposomes and formulated into a dry powder for inhalation. Delivered via dry powder inhalation, it improves pulmonary function, promotes myofibroblast de‐differentiation by targeting CNPY2 ...

A ROS‐driven in situ oxygen supply nanoventilator based on enzyme nanocapsule can convert ROS into O2 through enzyme cascade reaction between SOD and CAT to relieve lung hypoxia, and kill MRSA by releasing vancomycin, which effectively reduces HIF‐1α expression and balances pro‐inflammatory/anti‐inflammatory macrophages ratio, thereby reducing the ...
