Nocardiosis is a rare, Gram-positive bacterial infection caused by aerobic actinomycetes in the genus Nocardia. Nocardia species are not the part of normal human flora. Although the occurrence of Nocardiosis is predominant in immunosuppressed individuals, it has not failed to affect immunocompetent individuals.
