PDMS samples were covalently coated with mucin glycoproteins and then treated with either plasma activated water (PAW) or saline (PAS) as a means of disinfection. The samples could be successfully sterilized without compromising the structural integrity or functionality of those coatings.

Comprehending the Membrane Properties for Emulation in Organs‐on‐a‐Chip
The advent of organ‐on‐chip models allows closer emulation of in vivo conditions, leading to effective, less costly, and specific drugs. Although a number of membrane‐based on‐chip models exist, better emulating functional models need to be devised for organ simulations.

Ultrasound contrast agents, including microbubbles and nanobubbles, transform imaging and targeted therapy through precise engineering of size, shell composition, and surface properties. This review explores how these innovations enable tissue‐specific delivery, enhance therapeutic efficacy, and extend applications from vascular imaging to tumor ...

ABSTRACT Living beings are persistently challenged by stress. Stress can be induced by internal stressors and external stressors. External stressors, including radiation, heat, heavy metals, nutritional imbalances, infections, and psychological stress, can induce protein denaturation, leading to misfolded or aggregated proteins.

Hypercapnia Effects on Lung Function
CO2 is a signaling molecule that disrupts alveolar fluid clearance and ion transport, impairs alveolar repair, and promotes mitochondrial and endoplasmic reticulum dysfunction. It suppresses innate immunity, host defense, and inflammation, while increasing airway contractility.
