Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy for Chronic Pulmonary Thromboembolism
Pulmonary embolism in terms of causes of mortality is the third most common cause, when talking about cardiovascular diseases, yet most undiagnosed or misdiagnosed one. Among causes of pulmonary thromboembolism protein C deficiency is a rare one and idiopathic most common entity.

Antegrade Brain Perfusion for Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy
Objective: The gold standard procedure for pulmonary thromboendarterectomy is median sternotomy, cardiopulmonary bypass, profound hypothermia (18oC) and circulatory arrest. We propose a modified technique to improve the quality of care in this patient population, based on an intervention previously used in aortic surgery.
