Dynamics of primary cilia in endothelial and mesenchymal cells throughout mouse lung development
Abstract Cilia are specialized structures found on a variety of mammalian cells, with variable roles in the transduction of mechanical and biological signals (by primary cilia, PC), as well as in the generation of fluid flow (by motile cilia). Their critical role in the establishment of a left–right axis in early development is well described, as well ...

COPD aggravates AS, possibly through the destruction of pulmonary microvascular barrier function; thus, lung inflammation triggers systemic inflammation. In treating COPD with AS, TXL enhances the antiatherosclerotic effect of Ato, protecting the pulmonary microvascular barrier.

Pitfalls in the interpretation of pulmonary capillary wedge pressure.
The measurement and interpretation of pulmonary capillary wedge pressure (PCWP) is often vital to the correct management of patients. In this article some pitfalls associated with PCWP measurement are discussed. The physiology of PCWP preload and the Starling curve are described.

Abstract Right ventricular failure (RVF) is a common complication following left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation and increases patient morbidity and mortality. Due to the complex and limited understanding of RVF pathophysiology, efforts to prognosticate RVF after LVAD have been challenging.

Invasive haemodynamic assessment in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction
Abstract Despite the increasing prevalence and substantial burden of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF), which constitutes up to 50% of all heart failure cases, significant challenges persist in its diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
