Seasonal variation and patterns in the land snail community along a fine-scale humidity gradient in an Atlantic Rainforest remnant, Southeastern Brazil [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Biology
In this study, we provide the first data regarding seasonal variation and patterns along a fine-scale humidity gradient on the land snail community, including parameters such as richness and abundance, in the Sooretama Biological Reserve, Espírito Santo,

New species of land snails (Mollusca: Gastropoda: Caenogastropoda and Pulmonata) of the Mekong Delta Limestone Hills (Cambodia, Vietnam)

open access: yesFolia Malacologica, 2019
Twenty-two new species of land snails are described from limestone hills on the west flank of the Mekong river delta, in Cambodia and Vietnam. The species belong to the families Assimineidae, Cyclophoridae, Diplommatinidae, Ariophantidae, Helicarionidae,

A comprehensive phylogeographic study of Arion vulgaris Moquin-Tandon, 1855 (Gastropoda: Pulmonata: Arionidae) in Europe

open access: yesOrganisms Diversity & Evolution, 2019
Arion vulgaris Moquin-Tandon, 1855 is regarded as one of the 100 most invasive species in Europe. The native distribution range of this species is uncertain, but for many years, the Iberian Peninsula has been considered as the area of origin.

The complete mitochondrial genome of the land snail Cornu aspersum (Helicidae: Mollusca): intra-specific divergence of protein-coding genes and phylogenetic considerations within Euthyneura.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2013
The complete sequences of three mitochondrial genomes from the land snail Cornu aspersum were determined. The mitogenome has a length of 14050 bp, and it encodes 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes and two ribosomal RNA genes. It also includes

Genome‐wide nuclear data confirm two species in the Alpine endemic land snail Noricella oreinos s.l. (Gastropoda, Hygromiidae)

open access: yesJournal of Zoological Systematics and Evolutionary Research, Volume 58, Issue 4, Page 982-1004, November 2020., 2020
We provide insights into the land snail genus Noricella endemic to the Northeastern Austrian Alps. Based on a nuclear multilocus dataset, a clear separation of the two subspecies of N. oreinos was found. This investigation included individuals from the whole distribution range focussing on the potential hybrid zone.
