Displays bar graphs showing outcome rates stratified by clinical and hemodynamic variables. Asterisks (*) denote statistically significant differences (p ≤ 0.05). “NS” indicates non‐significant comparisons. Percentages are shown above each bar. The top panel corresponds to acute kidney injury (blue bars), and the bottom panel corresponds to acute ...

Measuring global cerebrovascular pulsatility transmission using 4D flow MRI
Pulse wave encephalopathy (PWE) is hypothesised to initiate many forms of dementia, motivating its identification and risk assessment. As candidate pulsatility based biomarkers for PWE, pulsatility index and pulsatility damping have been studied and ...

Our μCT‐based pilot study reveals size and shape disparity in the adult postcranial skeleton of growth‐hormone model (bGH) mice relative to wild‐type mice. bGH mice have larger and more sexually dimorphic bones, with a systemic radiodensity increase in bony sesamoids and associated, but typically uncalcified, soft tissues.

Role of spectral doppler in the differentiation of benign and malignant cervical lymphadenopathy [PDF]
Introduction: Differentiating benign from malignant lymphadenopathy is often a diagnostic challenge to medical professionals and multiple non invasive modalities from palpation to MRI have been used.

Based on the available evidence, the application of platelet‐rich fibrin (PRF) following free gingival graft (FGG) and subepithelial connective tissue graft (SCTG) harvesting appears to be a promising approach for enhancing wound healing, minimizing postoperative complications, and reducing analgesic consumption. ABSTRACT This clinical narrative review

Abstract Central artery stiffening increases the haemodynamic pulsations transmitted downstream towards target organs, including the brain. While recent evidence suggests that long duration spaceflight is associated with reduced common carotid artery (CCA) distensibility, cerebrovascular pulsatility has not been extensively characterized in astronauts.

Risk factors associated with fetal growth restriction in pregnancies complicated by thick placenta
Background To identify risk factors affecting the occurrence of fetal growth restriction (FGR) in cases of thick placenta. Methods The retrospective study included 128 women who gave birth with a diagnosis of thick placenta between February 2016 to ...

Uncovering the impact of the cardiovascular system on cerebrovascular health using MRI
Abstract Human cerebrovasculature is finely tuned to enable local changes in blood flow to meet the brain's demands, whilst protecting the brain from systemic changes in blood pressure, both acutely during a heartbeat and chronically over time. This review summarises cerebrovascular structure and function, their role in disease and neurodegeneration ...
