Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Experimental investigation of the impact of optical injection on vital parameters of a gain-switched pulse source [PDF]
An analysis of optical injection on a gain-switched distributed feedback (DFB) laser and its impact on pulse parameters that influence the performance of the pulse source in high-speed optical communication systems is presented in this paper.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

USE OF EXPLOSION ENERGY FOR STRENGTHENING WORKING BODIES OF SOIL- CULTIVATING MACHINES [PDF]
The research has defined technological methods that combine energy use of explosives and traditional methods of surface treatment (quenching and tempering) to improve the parameters of agricultural machinery.

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Few-cycle fiber pulse compression and evolution of negative resonant radiation
We present experimental observations of the spectral expansion of fs-pulses compressing in optical fibers. Using the input pulse frequency chirp we are able to scan through the pulse compression spectra and observe in detail the emergence of negative ...

Spectral characterisation of nk pulse position modulation format [PDF]
nk pulse position modulation (PPM) is a new modulation format that has recently been proposed for the optical wireless channel. This Letter considers, for the first time, a full spectral characterisation of -PPM and presents original expressions, which

Spectral meta-moments reveal hidden signatures of vortex pulses [PDF]
Ultrashort vortex pulses possess specific spatio-spectral signatures due to Gouy phase shift. Helical movement of anomalies around the phase singularity was found which is referred to as spectral Gouy rotation. The analysis of spectral moments allows for

We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic
