Restoring rectangular pulses of stimulation current
Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, 1966Abstract The extensively used rectangular pulses for electrical stimulation of laboratory animals are greatly distorted when applied to thin wire electrodes. The large current densities present at the electrode tips cause a capacitive behaviour of the metal-electrolyte interface.
