Influence of Internal Pulsed Current on the Sintering Behavior of Pulsed Current Sintering Process

Materials Science Forum, 2010
To clarify the influence of internal pulsed current upon the sintering behavior of powder materials during spark plasma sintering processing, simultaneous measurement of internal current using magnetic probe was carried out. Magnetic probe is installed to the side of the sintering ZnO powder material through the carbon graphite sintering die, and ...

PULSING AND CIRCULATION IN RIP CURRENT SYSTEM

Coastal Engineering 2004, 2005
Current pulsations from a longshore bar and trough rip system located on the eastern coast of Moreton Island, Australia are presented. These pulsations occur over 10-20minute intervals through the rip system and are correlated to both water level gradients and wave energy variations.

Current adder with programmable pulse shaping

2007 16th IEEE International Pulsed Power Conference, 2007
Advancements in fusion research and Equation of State (EOS) experiments have led to a need for greater control over the shape of the current waveform in the load. This added complexity will necessitate more sophisticated pulsed power designs. Challenges introduced by these new systems include the requirement for more elaborate control systems to ...

Simple pulse current transformer to check magnetron pulse current

Journal of Scientific Instruments, 1967
A simple pulse current transformer can give more faithful pulse reproduction and avoid the problems inherent in the conventional series-resistance circuit to measure magnetron pulse current. The design equations for such a transformer are given and a practical unit to measure 6-10 A pulses of 0.05-2 μsec duration in a 15 kv magnetron pulser is ...

Pulsed-Current Distribution in Electromagnetic Rail Launchers

IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2020
This article deals with the measurement of current distribution through the rail cross section of an electromagnetic rail launcher. A measurement approach based on a loop system magnetically coupled to the launcher that is placed along the rails is proposed.

Diffusion of Pulsed Currents in Conductors

Journal of Applied Physics, 1954
The density distribution and the equivalent depth of penetration of pulsed currents produced by a plane wave incident normally upon a plane conductor are investigated. In particular the cases i(t)=I0p(t), [I0/(t)12]p(t), I0e−αtp(t), where p(t)=U(t)[minus]U(t[minus]T0), are considered.

Current Distribution and Current Efficiency in Pulsed Current Plating of Nickel

Journal of The Electrochemical Society, 1996
A mathematical model is presented to obtain the current distribution and current efficiency on a rotating disk electrode under controlled current condition. The calculated results compare well with experiments performed using a nickel/nickel sulfate system in the presence of boric acid.

Research on the magneto-optic current sensor for high-current pulses

Review of Scientific Instruments, 2008
A new magneto-optic current sensor with a dual-orthogonal configuration is proposed and demonstrated, which can resolve the problem which value of high-current pulses is ambiguous from the Faraday rotation in the conventional magneto-optic current sensor.

Bottom Currents Measured with a Pulse-to-Pulse Coherent Sonar

OCEANS '87, 1987
The performance of a High Resolution Current Profiler (HRCP) using pulse-to-pulse coherent Doppler technique rather than conventional incoherent Doppler (ADCP) technique is discussed. The HRCP (300 KHz) was deployed on the bottom of the North Sea (at about 100 m depth) looking upwards.

Pulse by pulse current limiting technique for SPWM inverters

Proceedings of the IEEE 1999 International Conference on Power Electronics and Drive Systems. PEDS'99 (Cat. No.99TH8475), 1999
Impactive current overshoot is usually observed in SPWM inverter when impulsive loads are loaded. So far, several methods have been proposed to solve this problem, such as mean current feedback control or temporarily pulling down the voltage reference. Nevertheless, they both have shortcomings. This paper introduces a pulse by pulse current limiting (i.
