Quantum‐Grade Nanodiamonds from a Single‐Step, Industrial‐Scale Pressure and Temperature Process
Novel method for creation of nitrogen‐vacancy centers in 50‐nm nanodiamonds based on high‐temperature plastic deformation is demonstrated. Compared to the electron irradiation approach, it yields nitrogen‐vacancy centers with significantly improved charge stability, T1 relaxation time, and optical Rabi contrast.

Alkali Ion‐Incorporated HfO2 Dielectrics for Reconfigurable Neuromorphic Computing
This work presents an indium gallium zinc oxide (IGZO) transistor with an alkali cation‐integrated hafnium dioxide (HfO2) dielectric exhibiting synaptic behavior via ion retention. The solution‐based film fabrication strategy overcomes the limitations of atomic layer deposition (ALD) and precursor coating, enabling the control of synaptic retention ...

Electrochemical abuse transforms thermal runaway behavior in lithium‐ion batteries. Through systematic decoupling of degradation mechanisms, this study reveals that lithium plating lowers the onset temperature by 10 °C, electrolyte consumption delays high‐temperature reactions, and capacity fade reduces total heat generation. These mechanistic insights

Arterial Pulse Pressure Variation with Mechanical Ventilation
American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, 2019Fluid administration leads to a significant increase in cardiac output in only half of ICU patients. This has led to the concept of assessing fluid responsiveness before infusing fluid. Pulse pressure variation (PPV), which quantifies the changes in arterial pulse pressure during mechanical ventilation, is one of the dynamic variables that can predict ...

Influences of different vasopressors on stroke volume variation and pulse pressure variation
Journal of Clinical Monitoring and Computing, 2015Pulse pressure variation (PPV) and stroke volume variation (SVV) during mechanical ventilation have been shown to be effective parameters to predict preload responsiveness. Although induced hypertension decreases PPV and SVV, the influences of different vasopressors on PPV and SVV are unknown.

Systolic pressure variation and pulse pressure variation during modifications of arterial pressure
Intensive Care Medicine, 2008This study was performed to investigate the effect of vasopressor therapy on systolic pressure variation (SPV) and pulse pressure variation (PPV) compared to experimentally measured left ventricular stroke volume variation (SVV).Prospective study in a university laboratory.Twelve anesthetized and mechanically ventilated pigs.Increase in mean arterial ...

Pulse pressure variation and systolic pressure variation in horses undergoing general anesthesia
Journal of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, 2012AbstractIntroductionChanges in arterial pressure due to respiratory phases have been used to predict fluid responsiveness in a number of species and pulse pressure variation (PPV) and systolic pressure variation (SPV) are commonly used. The relationship between PPV and SPV has not been described in horses.ObjectivesTo describe and compare PPV and SPV ...
