High/low temperature setups for submillimetric samples under various extreme conditions at the AILES beamline. [PDF]
Two complementary high‐ and low‐temperature experimental setups have been developed at the AILES beamline of Synchrotron SOLEIL to enable infrared and terahertz spectroscopy of submillimetric samples under extreme and well controlled pressure and temperature conditions (from 10 K to 600 K and from vacuum up to 100 GPa).

High-performance waveguide coupled Germanium-on-silicon single-photon avalanche diode with independently controllable absorption and multiplication. [PDF]
Abstract Germanium‐on‐silicon (Ge‐on‐Si) single photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) have received wide attention in recent years due to their potential to be integrated with Si photonics. In this work, we propose and demonstrate a high‐performance waveguide coupled Ge‐on‐Si separate‐absorption‐charge‐multiplication SPAD with three electric terminals.

Homogeneous performance in superconducting nanowire single‐photon detector (SNSPD) arrays is challenging. This work explores helium ion irradiation to tune detection efficiency, switching current, and critical temperature of individual devices on the same chip. After irradiation, 12 nm thick SNSPDs show an efficiency increase from <0.05% to 55.3%. Thin‐

Evaluating the GeoSnap 13‐μ$$ \mu $$m cutoff HgCdTe detector for mid‐IR ground‐based astronomy
Abstract New mid‐infrared HgCdTe (MCT) detector arrays developed in collaboration with Teledyne Imaging Sensors (TIS) have paved the way for improved 10‐μ$$ \mu $$m sensors for space‐ and ground‐based observatories. Building on the successful development of longwave HAWAII‐2RGs for space missions such as NEO Surveyor, we characterize the first 13‐μ ...

Biogenic Fraction Determination in Fuel Blends by Laser‐Based 14CO2 Detection
Laser‐based ultrasensitive detection of radiocarbon dioxide is demonstrated to be a revolutionary approach for the determination of biogenic fraction in biofuels and, more generally, bio‐based materials. Fossil versus biogenic fraction accurate determination plays a fundamental role for climate change assessment and mitigation.
