Bubble‐Mediated Intensification of Biomass‐Based Oil Conversion: Bubble Dynamics, Control Strategies and Equipment

open access: yesCarbon and Hydrogen, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 320-339, September 2026.
Focus on the bubble interface transfer behavior during the conversion process of biomass‐based oil, and mainly review the bubble dynamic characteristics in the gas‐solid/gas‐liquid reaction processes under extreme conditions during the conversion process.

Increasing Respiration Weakens the Carbon Sink Over Two Decades in a Temperate Deciduous Forest

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology Communications, Volume 1, Issue 3, September 2026.
Using a 20‐year eddy covariance record from a temperate deciduous forest, we show that net carbon uptake declined over two decades. Both the trend and interannual variability in net carbon exchange were respiration driven, with warming winters and increasing late‐summer diffuse light driving the trend in respiration.

Optimized Reduced Field of View and Fat Suppression Methods for Interleaved Multislice In Vivo Cardiac Diffusion Tensor Imaging

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1097-1110, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Slice interleaving, a limited phase encode (PE) field of view (FOV), and effective fat suppression are vital for efficient cardiac diffusion tensor imaging (cDTI) with minimal artifacts. This study aimed to optimize reduced FOV and fat suppression methods for interleaved multislice cDTI to improve signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) and ...

Evaluation of Third‐Order Motion‐Compensated Cardiac Diffusion Tensor Imaging Across Cardiac Phases Using an Ultra‐High‐Performance Clinical Scanner

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1365-1378, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To evaluate a third‐order motion‐compensated spin echo (M3‐MCSE) sequence at multiple cardiac phases on a clinical 3 T MRI scanner with ultra‐high performance (UHP) gradients (200 mT/m), compared with stimulated echo acquisition mode (STEAM) and second‐order MCSE (M2‐MCSE) for cardiac diffusion tensor imaging (cDTI).

GABA+‐Edited Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy Deep Learning Quality Assessment Framework

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1028-1041, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose Motivated by the need to improve GABA+‐edited magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) quality, we developed a three‐module framework to improve transient averaging based on quality. We hypothesized that training a deep learning (DL) model to differentiate spectrum quality could improve transient averaging compared to traditional ...

Physics‐Guided Neural Network for Quantitative Parameter Mapping Using Balanced Steady State Free Precession MRI

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1313-1322, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To propose a new method using a physics‐guided neural network for quantitative parameter mapping in balanced steady‐state free precession (bSSFP) imaging. Theory and Methods We trained physics‐guided neural networks with a multilayer perceptron using simulated bSSFP signals generated from tissue parameters (T1, T2,Meffc, ∆f and φRF ...

Field‐Based Spatial Self‐Registration of Multicoil Hardware for B0 Field Control

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 3, Page 1474-1485, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop and validate a magnetic field‐based method for self‐registration of multicoil (MC) shim hardware in MRI systems, enabling accurate B0 field control despite nonreproducible hardware placement between calibration and experimental sessions.
