Intense Pulsed Electric Fields Denature Urease Proteins [PDF]
AbstractThis paper describes the effects of nanosecond pulsed electric fields (nsPEFs) on the structure and enzyme activity of three kinds of proteins. Intense (up to 300 kV/cm), 5-ns-long electrical pulses were applied to solutions of lysozyme (14 kDa, monomer), albumin (67 kDa, monomer), and urease (480 kDa, hexamer).

Effect of gate shaping and consequent process changes on AlGaN/GaN HEMT reliability [PDF]
The effect of gate shape and its necessary fabrication process on the reliability of AlGaN/GaN high electron mobility transistors (HEMT) was studied on devices fabricated on the same wafer, using DC and pulsed HEMT analysis.

Excitation and characterization of long-lived hydrogenic Rydberg states of nitric oxide [PDF]
High Rydberg states of nitric oxide (NO) with principal quantum numbers between 40 and 100 and lifetimes in excess of 10 $\mu$s have been prepared by resonance enhanced two-color two-photon laser excitation from the X $^2\Pi_{1/2}$ ground state through ...

A time scale for electrical screening in pulsed gas discharges [PDF]
The Maxwell time is a typical time scale for the screening of an electric field in a medium with a given conductivity. We introduce a generalization of the Maxwell time that is valid for gas discharges: the \emph{ionization screening time}, that takes ...
