Porosity Engineering of MXene Architectures: Toward High‐Performance Aqueous Electrochemical Energy Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This review systematically summarizes recent advances in porosity engineering of MXenes, with a focused discussion on their structure‐governed energy storage properties. A critical analysis of structure–property relationships is presented across alkali‐ion batteries, multivalent‐ion batteries, and supercapacitors.

A pulse programmer for nuclear magnetic resonance spectrometers

open access: yesConcepts in Magnetic Resonance Part A, 2007
AbstractA pulse programmer (PP) designed to control a nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer is reported on. The heart of the PP is a computer programmable logic device (CPDL) that provides flexibility to the design and, at the same time, reduces the number of electronics components needed and the dimensions of the printed circuit board.

One‐Dimensional Materials Supported in Two‐Dimensional Van der Waals Metal–Organic Frameworks with Optical Anisotropy Switching via Twist‐Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a molecular strategy to assemble one‐dimensional (1D) materials into two‐dimensional (2D) van der Waals metal–organic frameworks (MOFs). Crystals of [FeX(pzX)(bpy)] (X = Cl, F) form anisotropic 2D layers that can be mechanically exfoliated into thin sheets.

Elastomeric Micro‐Balloons for Remote Control of Cerebral Blood Flow and Real‐Time In vivo Imaging of Rodent Brain Response to Hypoperfusion

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports the fabrication of MRI‐compatible elastomeric micro‐balloons via a multi‐step bubble casting process, where the monolithic elastomeric wall is selectively stiffened for reversible and controlled inflation and elasticity, depending on the target vessels for graded occlusion of cerebral arteries.

Ligand‐Mediated Surface Carrier Modulation in Perovskite Nanocrystals for Charge‐Symmetric LEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A hydrolysis‐assisted ligand exchange strategy enables surface carrier modulation of perovskite nanocrystals using a multifunctional π‐conjugated ligand. This molecular surface design achieves charge balance and recombination‐zone symmetry in light‐emitting diodes (LEDs), which leads to high‐efficiency perovskite LEDs and establishes a general platform
