Molecular association contribution to self-diffusion in a chloroform – methanol system

open access: yesResults in Chemistry
Self-diffusion of components of a binary chloroform – methanol system has been investigated by experimental (pulsed gradient spin-echo nuclear magnetic resonance (PGSE NMR)), molecular dynamics (MD) simulation and theoretical (athermal associated ...

Resonant Domain Wall Dynamics in a Three‐Dimensional Magnetic Nano Double Helix

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
3D magnetic nanostructures promise exciting possibilities for magnetization dynamics. However, experimental realizations remain scarce. In nanoprinted cobalt double helices, time‐resolved X‐ray microscopy reveals harmonic domain wall dynamics. Simulations identify the mode and additional higher‐frequency resonances, revealing a rich dynamic landscape ...

Characterizing the magnetic noise power spectrum of dark spins in diamond

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics
The coherence times of solid-state spin qubits are often limited by the presence of a spin bath. Characterizing the spectrum of the local magnetic field fluctuations of the bath is key to understanding spin qubit decoherence.

Versatile Magneto‐Dielectric Response of Epitaxial Thin Films of the High Entropy Oxide Perovskite Nd(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The magnetic high entropy oxide perovskite Nd(Cr0.2Mn0.2Fe0.2Co0.2Ni0.2)O3 exhibits a substantially large dielectric constant (εr) at room temperature, which shows distinct anionic and cationic contributions in the form of zero and finite bias peaks, respectively, down to its magnetic transition temperature (Tmag).

Spin‐Orbit Torque Induced by Switchable Crystal Inversion Symmetry Breaking

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An exotic crystal inversion symmetry breaking in SrRuO3/BiFeO3 heterostructure is revealed, and it can be reversibly manipulated by the ferroelectric polarization of BiFeO3. This crystal inversion symmetry breaking can dramatically enhance the spin‐orbit torque efficiency in the SrRuO3 layer by more than 60%, providing an alternative to design an ...

Additive Manufacture of Diamond:Titanium Hybrid Quantum Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Additive manufacture represents one of the most advanced techniques for the creation of complex parts for applications as diverse as aerospace and implant surgery. However, a challenge with bespoke manufacture of metal parts is the incorporation of sensor elements in a fashion compatible with the 3D printing process.
