Light Switchable Ionic Conductivity of Arylazopyrazole Modified Polysiloxanes
We present a polysiloxane functionalized with a novel arylazopyrazole dye that undergoes reversible photoisomerization. Upon lithium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide addition and UV irradiation, the polymer exhibits a shift in tan(d) toward higher frequencies and enhanced ionic conductivity.

The new frontier for hydropower electricity generation in Brazil, the Amazon region, cannot be used for energy storage as the construction of storage reservoirs would have deep environmental and social impacts, thus run-of-the-river dams have been built instead. If Brazil still wants to generate 80% of its electricity from hydropower, there is the need

Nanocapsule with pump for methane storage
Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2011A nanocapsule for high-effective methane storage is investigated using molecular dynamics simulation. Methane molecules are pumped into a nanocapsule via pumping and locking chambers by the K@C(60)(1+) ions moved by the electric field. When such a technique is used, the methane weight content in the nanocapsule reaches 36.4 wt%.
