Briefing: Design punching shear capacity of wood-based panels
Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers - Construction Materials, 2014Punching shear capacity is one of the mechanical properties needed in the traditional design calculation method for assessing the concentrated load capacity of wood-based panels. A method for calculating the punching shear capacity of oriented strand board from its planar shear strengths has recently been proposed.

Punching Shear Capacity of Interior SFRC Slab-Column Connections
Journal of Structural Engineering, 2012AbstractThe paper deals with the punching shear behavior and the capacity of interior steel fiber-reinforced concrete (SFRC) slab-column connections. In the experimental study, the effect of the amount of fibers on the punching shear resistance and cracking behavior of slabs was investigated on a total of 12 small-scale flat slabs of varying dimensions.

Mechanical model for punching shear capacity of rectangular slab‐column connections
Structural Concrete, 2018This paper investigates the punching behavior of reinforced concrete flat slabs supported on rectangular columns under concentric loading. Based on the critical shear crack theory, a new model is proposed to determine the punching shear strength of slabs. In this model, a rectangular slab is replaced with an elliptical surface with the same area.

2018
In the last years the knowledge of the punching failure in R/C slabs increased thanks to several scientific studies. The progress obtained in this field is considerable, nevertheless achieved results are only taken into consideration by few Codes. The most updated code is the Model Code 2010, which adopted the Critical Shear Crack Theory (CSCT) for the

Punching shear capacity of T-joint made of high-strength steel
Welding in the World, 2016Recently, the capacity of welded joints made of direct-quenched ultra-high-strength steel (with nominal yield strength of 960 MPa) has been increasingly investigated. However, less attention has been paid to joints subjected to shear loading. In this research, work the punching shear capacity of a plated structure was studied.

Punching Shear Capacity of Double Layer FRP Grid Reinforced Slabs
SP-230: 7th International Symposium on Fiber-Reinforced (FRP) Polymer Reinforcement for Concrete Structures, 2005Synopsis: The punching shear capacity of concrete slabs reinforced with threedimensional fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) double-layer reinforcement cages composed of glass fiber-reinforced pultruded grating elements has been investigated using full-scale experimental tests and a number of different analytical models.

Characterization of Punching Shear Capacity of Thin Uhpc Plates
2014UHPC (ultra-high performance concrete) is a relatively new type of concrete that exhibits mechanical properties that are far superior to those of conventional concrete and in some cases rival those of steel. The main characteristics that distinguish UHPC from conventional reinforced concrete are the improved compressive strength, the tensile strength ...

Limits for the Punching Shear Capacity of the Flat Slabs Reinforced with Transverse Reinforcement
Key Engineering MaterialsOne of the most effective and common ways of an increasing the punching shear capacity of the flat slabs is using of shear reinforcement. An important limit during the design is the determination of the maximum punching shear resistance. The fact that the calculation of such an important value is still clearly empirical has met with criticism from many
