Fast algorithmic Nielsen-Thurston classification of four-strand braids [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
We give an algorithm which decides the Nielsen-Thurston type of a given four-strand braid. The complexity of our algorithm is quadratic with respect to word length.

Conformal blocks on a 2-sphere with indistinguishable punctures and implications on black hole entropy

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
The dimensionality of the Hilbert space of a Chern–Simons theory on a 3-fold, in the presence of Wilson lines carrying spin representations, had been counted by using its link with the Wess–Zumino theory, with level k, on the 2-sphere with points (to be ...

Discovery of Lasioglossum albescens (Smith, 1853) (Hymenoptera, Halictidae) from the Kinmen Islands, Taiwan [PDF]

open access: yesCheck List, 2020
Lasioglossum albescens (Smith, 1853) is recorded from Taiwan for the first time. The specimens were collected in the Kinmen Islands, several kilometers east of Xiamen, in Fujian, China. This species is distinguished from the other Taiwanese Lasioglossum (

Prognostic Impact of Treatment Modalities, Including Targeted Compartmental Radio‐Immunotherapy, in a Cohort of Neuroblastoma Patients With CNS Metastases at Relapse

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Neuroblastoma (NB) with central nervous system (CNS) metastases is rare at diagnosis, but occurs more often during relapse/progression. Patients with CNS metastases face a dismal prognosis, with no standardized curative treatment available.

Guidewire‐assisted successful closure of mis‐punctured transverse colon during endoscopic ultrasound‐guided cyst drainage

open access: yesDEN Open
Endoscopic ultrasound‐guided cyst drainage (EUS‐CD) was performed for walled‐off pancreatic necrosis. Computed tomography performed the next day showed that the tip of the external drainage tube was located in the transverse colon, confirming an ...

Complex Matrix Models and Statistics of Branched Coverings of 2D Surfaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
We present a complex matrix gauge model defined on an arbitrary two-dimensional orientable lattice. We rewrite the model's partition function in terms of a sum over representations of the group U(N).

Clinical Characteristics and Prognostic Risk Factors for Pediatric B‐Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma: A Multicenter Retrospective Cohort Study for China Net Childhood Lymphoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background B‐cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (B‐LBL) represents a rare variety of non‐Hodgkin lymphoma, with limited research on its biology, progression, and management. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical characteristics of 256 patients aged ≤18 years who received treatment under the China Net Childhood Lymphoma (CNCL)‐

Glycosylated LGALS3BP is highly secreted by bladder cancer cells and represents a novel urinary disease biomarker

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Urinary LGALS3BP is elevated in bladder cancer patients compared to healthy controls as detected by the 1959 antibody–based ELISA. The antibody shows enhanced reactivity to the high‐mannose glycosylated variant secreted by cancer cells treated with kifunensine (KIF).
