Synthetic Aspects and Characterization Needs in MOF Chemistry – from Discovery to Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Overcoming the challenges of phase discovery, synthesis optimization and scale‐up, characterization, and computational studies is essential to accelerate the large‐scale application of MOFs. Life‐cycle analyses and techno‐economic analyses need to be performed to realistically assess their potential for industrial relevance.

Medial prefrontal cortex suppresses reward-seeking behavior with risk of punishment by reducing sensitivity to reward

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience
Reward-seeking behavior is frequently associated with risk of punishment. There are two types of punishment: positive punishment, which is defined as addition of an aversive stimulus, and negative punishment, involves the omission of a rewarding outcome.

Structural Control of Photoconductivity in a Flexible Titanium‐Organic Framework

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The concept of flexibility is extended to titanium frameworks and use it to gain control over charge transport. MUV‐35 is a flexible doubly interpenetrated framework that can shrink spontaneously its volume by ≈40% to afford a photoconductive, porous state that is thermodynamically favored by non‐covalent interactions. Abstract The soft nature of Metal‐

Punishment and Counter-punishment in Public Goods Games: Can we still govern ourselves? [PDF]

open access: yes
In the public goods literature, there have been recently a number of experiments which demonstrate how the problem of the under-provision of a public good can be solved through mutual monitoring and sanctioning between the members of a group when ...

To punish first and reward second: Values determine how reward and punishment affect risk-taking behavior [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The current study investigated whether manipulating participants’ pre-exposure to reward and punishment affects the extent to which sensation seeking and values predict risk-taking behavior.

Adsorption and Separation by Flexible MOFs

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Flexible metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) present significant potential for gas storage and separation due to their structural dynamic. This review explores the rationale behind the flexible MOFs' enhanced working capacity and separation factors. It also addresses key challenges, including phase transition kinetics, crystal robustness, cycling, shaping,

Punishment, Inequality and Emotions [PDF]

open access: yes
Cooperation among people who are not related to each other is sustained by the availability of punishment devices which help enforce social norms (Fehr and Gächter, 2002). However, the rationale for costly punishment remains unclear.

Managing the Socially Marginalized: Attitudes Towards Welfare, Punishment and Race [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Welfare and incarceration policies have converged to form a system of governance over socially marginalized groups, particularly racial minorities. In both of these policy areas, rehabilitative and social support objectives have been replaced with a more

Spiro‐Phenothiazine Hole‐Transporting Materials: Unlocking Stability and Scalability in Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorene‐functionalized spiro‐phenothiazine (PTZ‐Fl) exhibits strong Li+ affinity and thermal stability, enabling a PCE of 25.75% in small‐area cells and 22.07% in 25 cm2 modules. Under ISOS‐L3 conditions, PTZ‐Flbased devices retain over 80% efficiency after 1000 hours, demonstrating superior stability and scalability compared to spiro‐OMeTAD for next ...
