Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

On the grade of modules over Noetherian rings

open access: yes, 2007
Let $\Lambda$ be a left and right noetherian ring and $\mod \Lambda$ the category of finitely generated left $\Lambda$-modules. In this paper we show the following results: (1) For a positive integer $k$, the condition that the subcategory of $\mod ...

On finitely injective modules and locally pure-injective modules over Prüfer domains [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2007
Let \(R\) be a ring. An \(R\)-module \(M\) is said to be finitely injective if every finite set of elements of \(M\) is contained in an injective submodules; and is said to be locally pure-injective if every element \(x \in M\) belongs to a pure-injective summand of \(M\).

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Modules with irrational slope over tubular algebras

open access: yes, 2014
Let $A$ be a tubular algebra and let $r$ be a positive irrational. Let ${\mathcal D}_r$ be the definable subcategory of $A$-modules of slope $r$. Then the width of the lattice of pp formulas for ${\mathcal D}_r$ is $\infty$.

Σ-pure-injective modules for string algebras and linear relations [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Algebra, 2018
We prove that indecomposable $ $-pure-injective modules for a string algebra are string or band modules. The key step in our proof is a splitting result for infinite-dimensional linear relations.

Dapagliflozin prevents methylglyoxal‐induced retinal cell death in ARPE‐19 cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Diabetic macular oedema is a diabetes complication of the eye, which may lead to permanent blindness. ARPE‐19 are human retinal cells used to study retinal diseases and potential therapeutics. Methylglyoxal is a compound increased in uncontrolled diabetes due to elevated blood glucose.

Right orthogonal class of pure projective modules over pure hereditary rings

open access: yes, 2020
Let $\mathcal{W}$ be the class of all pure projective modules. In this article, $\mathcal{W}$-injective modules is defined via the vanishing of cohomology of pure projective modules.

Modules with cosupport and injective functors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Several authors have studied the filtered colimit closure lim(B) of a class B of finitely presented modules. Lenzing called lim(B) the category of modules with support in B, and proved that it is equivalent to the category of flat objects in the functor ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...
