Relative injectivity and pure-injective modules over Prüfer rings
A left module M over a ring R is called RD-injective, if for each inclusion \(A\hookrightarrow B\) such that \(rA=A\cap rB\) for all \(r\in R\) the induced map \(Hom_ R(B,M)\to Hom_ R(A,M)\) is surjective [\textit{R. B. Warfield} jun., Pac. J. Math. 28, 699-719 (1969; Zbl 0172.048)]. The first part of the present article is devoted to the discussion of

Indecomposable Decompositions of Finitely Presented Pure-Injective Modules
This is a well-written paper which presents interesting criteria for a finitely presented pure-injective module to have a decomposition into indecomposable summands. A module \(M\) is called pure-injective (or algebraically compact) if it has the injectivity property with respect to all pure exact sequences, and \(M\) is called completely pure ...

The citric acid/urea (CA‐Urea) precursor system offers a versatile, scalable route to carbon dots with tunable luminescence and multifunctionality. Mechanistic insights into precursor chemistry and reaction parameters have enabled doping, surface modification, and hybridization strategies, yielding CDs for luminescent devices, sensing, catalysis ...

Gold bipyramids can act as efficient plasmonic nanoheaters, but they often reshape during laser heating. This study shows that oxygen nanobubbles drive oxidative etching and that surface ligands control stability. CTAB‐ and citrate‐coated particles blunt and lose optical performance, whereas polystyrene sulfonate preserves shape and heating by ...

We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Commutative rings whose cotorsion modules are pure-injective
Let R be a ring (not necessarily commutative). A left R-module is said to be cotorsion if Ext 1 R (G, M) = 0 for any flat R-module G. It is well known that each pure-injective left R-module is cotorsion, but the converse does not hold: for instance, if R

Multi‐Scale Interface Engineering of MXenes for Multifunctional Sensory Systems
MXenes, as two‐dimensional transition metal carbides and nitrides, demonstrate remarkable capabilities for multifunctional sensing applications. This review systematically examines multi‐scale interface engineering approaches that enhance sensing performance, enable diverse detection functionalities, and improve system‐level compatibility in MXene ...

Purity in categories of sheaves [PDF]
We consider categorical and geometric purity for sheaves of modules over a scheme satisfying some mild conditions, both for the category of all sheaves and for the category of quasicoherent sheaves.

Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.
