ANALYSIS OF PURSE-SEINE CATCHES IN THE ADRIATIC SEA [PDF]
The aim of this study was to analyze the composition of commercial purse-seine catches collected in the Croatian fishing grounds during a one-year period (June 2011 - June 2012). Within samples, sardine Sardina pilchardus (Walbaum, 1792) (N = 10317, LT= 14.60 ± 0.70 cm) and anchovy Engraulis encrasicolus (Linnaeus, 1758) (N = 9831, LT = 13.79 ± 0.60 cm)

STUDY ON PURSE SEINE BY MEASURING-I
Upon the fishing efficiency of the sardine purse seine operating by night in Bungo Channel, with the gathering lamp, the depth of the net foot has an important influence. On the gear shown in Fig. 1, the sinking depth of the net foot was measured with a self depth meter and some sounding chemical tubes, and moreover a model experiment was carried out ...

Reducing discards in a demersal purse-seine fishery [PDF]
Fisheries bycatches and discards constitute a significant problem in many fisheries worldwide. Unlike the pelagic purse-seine, the demersal purse seine usually targets high commercial value demersal species such as sea breams (e.g., Diplodus spp., Pagellus spp., Sparus aurata) and the European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax), while discards consist ...

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.
