Space Station Freedom solar array panels plasma interaction test facility [PDF]
The Space Station Freedom Power System will make extensive use of photovoltaic (PV) power generation. The phase 1 power system consists of two PV power modules each capable of delivering 37.5 KW of conditioned power to the user.

Since the last decade, partial shading conditions (PSCs) and its adverse influences on photovoltaic (PV) system performance have received due attention. It motivates researchers to explore methods to diminish/disperse the shading effects and/or novel PV ...

Day/night variations of myeloid and lymphoid cell subsets in the murine inguinal lymph node
The circadian system is involved in the temporal regulation of the immune system. Our study reveals that two innate immune populations, NKT cells and neutrophils, predominate at the beginning of the day in healthy mice, highlighting how the time of day influences immune responses.

The search for building-integrated PV materials with good aesthetic potential: a survey [PDF]
Building-integrated photovoltaics (PV) is currently dominated by blue and black rectilinear forms. Greater variety of colour and form could lead to much better uptake of PV in the built environment, also increasing the potential for PV to be used ...

The Exemption Status of the Bona Fide Pledgee of Unregistered Securities Under the Securities Act of 1933 [PDF]
The number of connections of photovoltaic (PV) to distribution network is increasing. Very few PV connection guidelines that distribution system operators (DSOs) can refer to have been found.

Induction of diabetes in three different mouse strains uniformly resulted in an increase in TNAP activity and a reduction in pyrophosphate (PPi) in the circulation. Inhibition of TNAP restored plasma PPi. Diabetes‐induced calcification in the media layer of the aorta was detected only in the Abcc6−/− strain, which is predisposed to ectopic ...

Single crystalline silicon solar cells with rib structure
To improve the conversion efficiency of Si solar cells, we have developed a thin Si wafer-based solar cell that uses a rib structure. The open-circuit voltage of a solar cell is known to increase with deceasing wafer thickness if the cell is adequately ...

The Nucleon Anapole Moment and Parity-Violating ep Scattering [PDF]
Parity-violating (PV) interactions among quarks in the nucleon induce a PV $\gamma NN$ coupling, or anapole moment (AM). We compute electroweak gauge-independent contributions to the AM through ${\cal O}(1/\lamchis)$ in chiral perturbation theory.
