A Toolkit for Targeted Neuromodulation of Striatal Direct Pathway Neurons Rescues Parkinsonian Motor Deficits in Mice

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An adeno‐associated virus (AAV) toolkit enables selective anatomical and functional targeting of striatal D1‐MSNs through retrograde transduction. Enhanced capsids and engineered enhancers drive robust transgene expression across murine and primate models.

Selective Inhibition of Integrin β3 Topology Provides a Safer Antithrombotic Strategy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Current integrin αIIbβ3 inhibitors effectively reduce thrombosis but also increase bleeding risk. During thrombosis, high shear blood flow can directly activate the integrin αIIbβ3 via a distinct topological change in the β3 transmembrane domain, independent of hemostatic platelet signaling.

Hydrogen (H2) Recovery From Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S): Current Technologies, Challenges, and Future Outlook

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) can be transformed into hydrogen (H2) through several chemical and catalytic processes, offering a promising route for both waste treatment and clean H2 production. This colorless, flammable, and toxic gas is found abundantly in swamps, volcanoes, hot springs, sewages, other natural gas fields, and even in refineries and

An investigation into arc detection and fire safety aspects of photovoltaic installations

open access: yes, 2012
The number of PV systems around the world is increasing and the systems are aging with little to no inspections and maintenance. Exposed to UV, the weather and rodents cables, connection points and other components can degrade to the point where there is

PV module troubleshooting and measurement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Over the past few years, the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry has taken the lead in the market growth of the Australian renewable energy industry. Due to the steady manufacturing cost reduction and Australian government support, a great number of PV ...

One‐Step, High‐Removal‐Rate and Low‐Damage Chemical Mechanical Polishing of InP Enabled by Hydrolysis Activated PF6− with In Situ Fluoride Passivation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, we propose a CMP method for InP using NH4PF₆, which hydrolyzes under In3+ catalysis to form reactive species. These convert InP into low‐binding‐energy fluorides, facilitating removal and dissolution. The process delivers high material removal rates, smooth surfaces, and fluorine passivation that lowers defect density and improves ...

A detailed performance comparison of PV modules of different technologies and the implications for PV system design methods

open access: yes, 2005
In designing any power generation system that incorporates photovoltaics (PV) there is a basic requirement to accurately estimate the output from the proposed PV array under operating conditions.

Analysis and Design of Smart PV Module [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
This thesis explores the design of a smart photovoltaic (PV) module- a PV module in which PV cells in close proximity are electrically grouped to form a pixel and are connected to dc-dc converter blocks which reside embedded in the back pane of the ...
