Heart Rhythm, 2015
Using a healthy degree of editorial license, we wanted to set the scene for the excellent study by El Kadri et al in this issue of HeartRhythm by reflecting on how much we have learned about premature ventricular complexes (PVCs) in the span of 5 decades or so.

Environmental stress cracking of PVC and PVC-CPE
Journal of Materials Science, 1993The craze initiation of PVC and PVC-CPE in a number of vapour and liquid environments was studied. The observed decrease in the craze-initiation stress could be ascribed to the absorption of components by the PVC and the PVC-CPE matrix. The magnitude of the absorption depends on the activity of the components and on their interaction with the PVC ...

The rheology of PVC - An overview
Pure and Applied Chemistry, 1977Abstract - Three aspects of the rheological behavior of PVC are considered. These are (a) particulate flow which occurs below the true crystalline melting point, (b) true melting flow which occurs at or above the melting point and (c) the flow of PVC compounds.

General Hospital Psychiatry, 1985
There is a group of patients who presents with intense anxiety and physical complaints suggestive of cardiac or gastrointestinal disease. These patients are more commonly women and complain of palpitations, lightheadedness, chest pains, and dyspnea. A work-up may reveal positive findings such as extrasystoles and mitral valve prolapse that appear to ...

Information and Software Technology, 1992
Abstract The complexity and scope of telecommunications systems have only aggravated the management and control of versions of subparts of communications software. The Process-oriented Version and Configuration Management (PVC-M) system attempts to address some of the problems of configuration management (CM) faced by telecommunications engineers ...

Miscibility of PVC with chlorinated PE and chlorinated PVC
International Journal of Polymeric Materials and Polymeric Biomaterials, 2003Miscibility of PVC with chlorinated PE and chlorinated PVC was reviewed. The miscible region of chlorine content ranged from 44 wt% to 65 wt%, which was not symmetric to the chlorine content of PVC, 56.7 wt%. Two group contribution methods were used to calculate solubility parameters of polymers.

Environmental stress cracking of PVC and PVC-CPE
Journal of Materials Science, 1995The fracture toughness of Polyvinylchloride (PVC) and PVC modified with 10% chlorinated polyethylene (PVC-CPE) was studied in vapour and in liquid environments by crack growth measurements on single-edge notch specimens under three-point bending at 23°C. In addition, some results obtained in air at lower temperatures are presented.

THE RELATION BETWEEN THE FOAMABILITY OF PVC PASTES AND THE QUALITY OF A PVC POLYMER
Polymer-Plastics Technology and Engineering, 2002The mechanical foaming of poly(vinylchloride) (PVC) pastes is made possible by the presence of surfactants, which secure the formation of a PVC foam and its stability at the next processing. The efficiency of the surfactants that are employed in this technology may be evaluated on the basis of viscosity difference between the descending and rising part

Environmental stress cracking of PVC and PVC-CPE
Journal of Materials Science, 1994The failure of unnotched PVC and PVC-CPE was studied in a number of vapour and liquid environments. The failure mechanisms observed are related to craze initiation and logarithmic craze growth. A model to explain the origin of the logarithmic craze growth is presented.

Development of PVC color masterbatch for both of PVC bottle and PVC cable compound
Ca/Zn stabilizer was used in PVC color masterbatch for both of PVC bottle and PVC cable compound instead of the lead and tin stabilizer in order to solve the sulfur staining and the melting problem. The first part of this work concerns a type and an amount of PVC resin, stabilizer, co-stabilizer, plasticizer, and lubricant that effect the heat ...openaire +1 more source
