Axial length as a risk factor for pseudophakic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment: A Danish registry study

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To examine axial length as a risk factor for pseudophakic rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (pRRD). Methods We identified eyes that underwent phacoemulsification between 2 May 2002 and 10 November 2023 and had an axial length registered at the Departments of Ophthalmology in the Capital Region of Denmark or the private clinic ...

Benefit of selinexor dose reduction on outcomes with selinexor, bortezomib and dexamethasone in patients with lenalidomide‐refractory multiple myeloma: Subgroup analysis of the BOSTON trial

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
A subgroup analysis of efficacy, safety and QOL in patients who received selinexor in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone (SVd) with and without selinexor dose reduction and who had lenalidomide‐refractory disease in the phase 3 BOSTON trial showed improvements in efficacy, quality of life (QOL) and safety outcomes with selinexor dose ...

Cardiometabolic Risk in First Degree Relatives of Women With Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)

open access: yesClinical Endocrinology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common multisystem disorder with reproductive, cardiometabolic and psychological implications. Genetic factors play a role in the pathogenesis of PCOS. We sought to investigate the cardiometabolic health of first degree relatives (FDR) of women with PCOS.

Effect of Substrate Bias Voltage and Ti Doping on the Tribological Properties of DC Magnetron Sputtered MoSx Coatings‌

open access: yesIranian Journal of Materials Science and Engineering, 2019
Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is one of the most widely used solid lubricants. In this work, composite MoSx/Ti coatings were deposited by direct-current magnetron sputter ion plating onto plain carbon steel substrates. The MoSx/Ti ratio in the coatings was

High Prevalence of Metabolic Dysfunction–Associated Steatohepatitis With Significant Fibrosis in Primary Care and Endocrinology Clinics

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims Metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatohepatitis (MASH) is a leading cause of cirrhosis. NIS2+ is a recently approved serum‐based test combining two biomarkers (miR‐34a‐5p and YKL‐40) to identify at‐risk MASH (i.e., MASH and significant fibrosis). Objective To assess the prevalence of at‐risk MASH by NIS2+ in individuals from primary care

Realizing the unexpected: How cospecialization supports the serendipity journey in SMEs' digital transformation

open access: yesEuropean Management Review, EarlyView.
Abstract Although innovation is often portrayed as arising deterministically from deliberate strategy and calculated decisions, many significant breakthroughs emerge not from planning but serendipitously. Building on this insight, this paper bridges the literatures on dynamic capabilities and serendipity to examine how SMEs realize serendipitous value ...

Influence of Ultrasonic‐Assisted Milling on Surface Integrity and Fatigue Strength of a Low Alloy Steel

open access: yesFatigue &Fracture of Engineering Materials &Structures, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The milling process significantly influences the surface integrity of metallic components through machining induced near‐surface residual stresses. Modern hybrid machining processes, such as ultrasonic‐assisted milling (USAM), offer the potential to induce beneficial near‐surface compressive residual stresses compared to the near‐surface ...

Hermit beetle (Osmoderma barnabita) habitat selection and movement are shaped by tree microhabitat availability in Eastern Romanian Carpathians

open access: yesInsect Conservation and Diversity, EarlyView.
We conducted the first radio‐tracking study on Osmoderma barnabita to examine the movement ecology and habitat selection in the Eastern Carpathians. A female recorded the longest movement distance and had larger home ranges than males. It showed a preference for Quercus petraea, with wood mould cavities and DBH as key predictors.

Genetic Parameters and Sex‐Specific Architecture of Observed and Latent Fertility Phenotypes in a Closed Breeding Nucleus of an Arctic Salmonid

open access: yesJournal of Animal Breeding and Genetics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Successful reproduction is a key factor for efficient breeding schemes and sustainable animal farming. Aquaculture breeding programs rely heavily on small fractions of selected breeders to yield large production stocks, given the high fecundity typically observed in these species. In Sweden, Arctic charr (Salvelinus alpinus) is a salmonid with
