Superwettable PVDF/PVDF-g-PEGMA Ultrafiltration Membranes [PDF]

open access: yesACS Omega, 2020
Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) is a common and inexpensive polymeric material used for membrane fabrication, but the inherent hydrophobicity of this polymer induces severe membranes fouling, which limits its applications and further developments. Herein, we prepared superwettable PVDF membranes by selecting suitable polymer concentration and blending

BN-PVDF/rGO-PVDF Laminate Nanocomposites for Energy Storage Applications

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
The increasing demand for high energy storage devices calls for concurrently enhanced dielectric constants and reduced dielectric losses of polymer dielectrics. In this work, we rationally design dielectric composites comprising aligned 2D nanofillers of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and boron nitride nanosheets (BNNS) in a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)

Preparation and Characterization of PVDF/Alkali-Treated PVDF Blend Membranes [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Research, 2012
Poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) powder was treated with aqueous sodium hydroxide to obtain partially defluorinated fluoropolymers with expected properties such as improved hydrophilicity and fouling resistance (used as membrane material). The effects of concentration of aqueous sodium hydroxide were investigated. The results showed that the membrane’s

Rheological Properties of PVDF Solutions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Siberian Federal University. Mathematics & Physics, 2021
The rheological properties of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) solutions in Nmethylpyrrolidone were studied using the rheometric method. It was shown that the viscosity of polymer solutions decreases non-linearly with increasing temperature. The viscosity of the N-methylpyrrolidone used as solvent remains practically unchanged.

Systematic exploration of electrospun polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes’ (MWCNTs) composite nanofibres for humidity sensing application

open access: yesJournal of Taibah University for Science, 2021
In this paper, the electrospinning technique was used to obtain multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) supported on electrospun polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) nanofibres (NFs) (PVDF/MWCNTs), a composite-based mat of NFs.

Piezo-, photo- and piezophotocatalytic activity of electrospun fibrous PVDF/CTAB membrane

open access: yesChimica Techno Acta, 2022
A composite material based on polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) nanofibers modified with cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) was synthesized by coaxial electrospinning. The morphology and structure of the material were studied by SEM, FTIR spectroscopy, X-
