An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Recent advances in the preparation of PVDF-based piezoelectric materials

open access: yesNanotechnology Reviews, 2022
In recent years, PVDF(polyvinylidene fluoride) and its copolymers have attracted great attention in the development of energy-harvesting devices because of their unique properties such as good flexibility, environmental friendliness, high halogen and ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Thin films of vinylidene fluoride copolymer with tetrafluoroethylene: dynamics of ferroelectric polarization switching

open access: yesФізика і хімія твердого тіла, 2020
The vinylidene fluoride copolymer with tetrafluoroethylene P(VDF-TFE) is a typical ferroelectric polymer that has not been sufficiently studied so far in comparison with pure polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and its copolymer with trifluoroethylene.

Construction of a high-efficiency piezoelectric nanogenerator based on in situ polarization of PVDF nanofiber films by electrospinning

open access: yes工程科学学报, 2023
Because of the global fossil energy crisis and environmental pollution problems, the efficient use of green, renewable, and clean energy has become a major trend. Mechanical energy is considered an ideal alternative energy source because of its abundance,

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Wetting criteria for the applicability of membrane distillation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
Membrane distillation can only be applied on liquid mixtures which do not wet a microporous hydrophobic membrane. Solutions of inorganic material in water have such high values of surface tension (γLgreater-or-equal, slanted72x10−3 N/m) that the non ...

COMP–PMEPA1 axis promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in breast cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Reuse of textile wastewater after homogenization–decantation treatment coupled to PVDF ultrafiltration membranes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The textile industry is one of the largest consumers of water in the world and its wastewater is a serious problem when it is discharged without the proper treatment.
