Synthetic fluid inclusions: IX. Critical PVTX properties of NaCl-H2O solutions

Geochimica Et Cosmochimica Acta, 1989
Critical PVTX properties of NaCl-H2O fluids having compositions of 0–30 wt% NaCl have been determined using the synthetic fluid inclusion technique. Critical temperatures and pressures increase from 374.1°C and 220 bars for pure H2O, to 820°C and 1574 bars for 30.0 wt% NaCl.

An Experimental Study of pVTx Properties for Binary Mixtures of HFC-32 and HFC-125

International Journal of Thermophysics, 2005
An experimental study of the pressure-volume-temperature-composition pVTx properties for binary mixtures of HFC- 32(CH2F2) and HFC-125(C2HF5) was conducted in the range of temperatures from 343 to 423 K, pressures from 4.0 to 15.6 MPa, densities from 485 to 491 kg·m−3, and compositions from 0.05 to 0.90 mole fraction of HFC-32, with uncertainties of 4 ...

PVTx measurements for N2O+CH3F, N2O+CH2F2, and N2O+CHF3 binary systems

open access: yesFluid Phase Equilibria, 2005
Abstract Isochoric PVTx measurements have been performed for the binary system of nitrous oxide + CH 3 F (R41), +CH 2 F 2 (R32), and +CHF 3 (R23) using a new experimental set-up. The experiments covered both the two-phase region and the superheated vapor region and were performed within the temperature range 214–358 K and within a pressure range ...

Measurements of PVTx properties for the binary refrigerant HCFC 142b + HCFC 22 system

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 1991
This paper reports PVTx properties for the HCFC 142b + HCFC 22 system in a wide range of temperatures from 297 to 443, of pressures from 0.5 to 10.0 MPa, and of densities from 72 to 1079 kg/m[sup 3]. For 4 compositions, i.e., 20, 40, 60, and 80 wt % HCFC 142b, 422 PVTx measurements have been made along 31 isochores. The uncertainties of the temperature,

PVTX and Raman Spectral Properties of Fluids at Elevated Pressures and Temperatures

open access: yes, 2020
Water and other fluids play an important role in the formation of mineral deposits that are the source of the many metals, such as copper, silver, gold, and others, that are needed by a modern technological society. In addition, water and other fluids affect the way rocks behave under stress and can promote earthquakes and influence the explosivity of ...

PVTxMeasurements for the R116 + CO2and R41 + CO2Systems. New Isochoric Apparatus

open access: yesJournal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2005
A new isochoric apparatus was built for PVTx measurements in an extended temperature range from (210 to 360) K and at pressures up to 6.0 MPa. The setup was used to measure PVTx properties for the R116 CO 2 and R41 CO 2 systems, both in the two-phase and

Vapor-Phase PvTx Measurements of Binary Blends of cis-1,2,3,3,3-Pentafluoroprop-1-ene + Isobutane and 3,3,3-Trifluoropropene + Isobutane

open access: yesJournal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2019
Ninety-seven vapor-phase PvTx measurements are reported for six binary blends of cis-1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoroprop-1-ene (R1225ye(Z)) and isobutane (R600a), and sixty-six vapor-phase PvTx measurements are reported for four binary blends of 3,3,3 ...

Measurement of the PVTx properties of n-heptane in supercritical water

The Journal of Supercritical Fluids, 1997
Abstract By means of a constant-volume piezometer, measurements have been made of the PVTx properties of water- n -heptane mixtures at supercritical conditions. The measurements cover the temperature range from 573 to 673 K and pressures from 2 to 30 MPa.
