PVTx measurements for the R125 + CO2 system by the Burnett method
Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2002Abstract The PVTx behaviour for the carbon dioxide (CO2)+pentafluoroethane (R125) system was measured by the Burnett method within the range 323–363 K and at pressures from 10 to 5000 kPa. The apparatus was calibrated by means of helium and its performance was checked by measurements of PVT for the mixture components.

PVTx properties in the gas phase for binary HFC-161/125 system
Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2006Abstract The gaseous PVTx properties of ethyl fluoride (HFC-161) + pentafluoroethane (HFC-125) mixtures were measured at temperatures from 305.154 to 393.228 K and corresponding pressures from 1032.5 to 5416.5 kPa using the isochoric method. The uncertainties in the present measurements were estimated to be ±1.5 kPa for pressure and ±6 mK for ...

PVTx properties in the gas phase for binary R290/R134a system
The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 2014Abstract The gaseous PVTx properties of {propane (R290) + 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a)} were measured at temperatures from 252 K to 320 K and corresponding pressures from 200 kPa to 2000 kPa and compositions from 0.4 to 0.65 mass fraction of R290 using the Burnett isothermal expansion method. The uncertainties in the present measurements were

PVTx and Isochoric Heat Capacity Measurements for Aqueous Methanol Solutions
International Journal of Thermophysics, 2003Isochoric heat capacity and PVTx properties of an aqueous methanol solution (0.50 mass fraction or 0.36 mole fraction of methanol) were measured in the liquid phase with a twin-cell adiabatic calorimeter. Temperatures ranged from 333 to 422 K, and pressures ranged to 20 MPa.

PVTx Measurements for a H2O + Methanol Mixture in the Subcritical and Supercritical Regions
International Journal of Thermophysics, 2004PVTx relationships for a H2O + CH3OH mixture (0.36 mole fraction of methanol) were measured in a range of temperatures from 373 to 673 K and pressures between 0.042 and 90.9 MPa. The density ranged from 37.76 to 559.03 kg · m−3. Measurements were made with a constant-volume piezometer surrounded by a precision thermostat.

Modeling the PVTx Behavior of the N-Methylpyrrolidinone/Water Mixed Solvent
Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research, 2004An experimental setup for the measurement of densities for the compressed liquid phase of the N-methylpyrrolidinone/water binary solvent from 278.15 to 358.15 K over the full composition range and for pressures up to 60 MPa is reported. Experimental measurements were performed with a recently developed high-pressure vibrating-tube densitometer; the ...

A small-volume PVTX system for broadband spectroscopic calibration of downhole optical sensors
Review of Scientific Instruments, 2017An instrument is presented that is capable of measuring the optical spectrum (long-wave ultraviolet through short-wave mid-infrared) of fluids under a range of temperature and pressure conditions from ambient pressure up to 138 MPa (20 000 psi) and 422 K (300 °F) using ∼5 ml of fluid. Temperature, pressure, and density are measured in situ in real-time,

PVTx properties in the gas phase for binary R-125/143a system
Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1998Abstract The mixture of pentafluoroethane (R-125) and 1,1,1-trifluoroethane (R-143a) is a promising alternative for the conventional refrigerant R-502. In this paper, we present 220 PVTx property measurements of this binary system along four isopleths in the gas phase which were performed by an established Burnett apparatus.

PVTx Properties of Gaseous Mixtures of Difluoromethane and 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-Heptafluoropropane
Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2007Mixtures of difluoromethane (HFC-32) and 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropane (HFC-227ea) are promising alternative refrigerants; however, there is currently no available published experimental PVTx data. The gaseous PVTx properties of HFC-32 (1) + HFC-227ea (2) mixtures were measured using the Burnett-isochoric method with 251 data sets obtained for ...
