PVTx and Isochoric Heat Capacity Measurements for Aqueous Methanol Solutions

International Journal of Thermophysics, 2003
Isochoric heat capacity and PVTx properties of an aqueous methanol solution (0.50 mass fraction or 0.36 mole fraction of methanol) were measured in the liquid phase with a twin-cell adiabatic calorimeter. Temperatures ranged from 333 to 422 K, and pressures ranged to 20 MPa.

PVTx Properties of the Binary Difluoromethane + 1,1,1,2-Tetrafluoroethane System

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 1994
Pressure-volume-temperature-composition (PVTx) properties of the binary refrigerant difluoromethane (HFC-32) + 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a) have been measured by means of a constant-volume apparatus coupled with an expansion procedure. Two hundred sixty PVTx values were measured in a range of temperatures from 320 to 440 K, pressures from 1.5 ...

Measurements of the PVTx Properties of Binary Refrigerant R 12 + R 22 System : Second Report: PVTx State-surface and Composition Dependence of the Thermodynamic Properties

Bulletin of JSME, 1984
For representing PVTx state-surface of a binary refrigerant R 12+R 22 system, B-W-R equations of state for both pure components in combination with mixing rules for the coefficients were applied. Proposed B-W-R equations of state with new mixing rules for the system of interest were developed based on the PVTx measurements for seven different ...

A variable-volume apparatus for the measurements of PVTx properties of fluids

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1993
Abstract A new apparatus of continuously variable-volume for the measurements of PVTx properties of fluids is proposed, a variable-volume sample container is designed and manufactured. Using the new apparatus, several different specific volumes and the corresponding pressures under a given temperature can be measured continuously.

Synthetic fluid inclusions: IX. Critical PVTX properties of NaCl-H2O solutions

Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, 1989
Critical PVTX properties of NaCl-H2O fluids having compositions of 0–30 wt% NaCl have been determined using the synthetic fluid inclusion technique. Critical temperatures and pressures increase from 374.1°C and 220 bars for pure H2O, to 820°C and 1574 bars for 30.0 wt% NaCl.

Measurement of the PVTx properties of n-heptane in supercritical water

The Journal of Supercritical Fluids, 1997
Abstract By means of a constant-volume piezometer, measurements have been made of the PVTx properties of water- n -heptane mixtures at supercritical conditions. The measurements cover the temperature range from 573 to 673 K and pressures from 2 to 30 MPa.

Liquid phase PVTx properties of carbon tetrachloride-octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane binary mixtures

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 1976
Measurements are reported for the compressions of pure carbon tetrachloride, octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane, and three of their mixtures from atmospherlc to near freezing pressures at temperatures from 273 to 413 K. Nine isothermal equations of state were tested for precision in description of the data.

PVTx properties in the gas phase for binary R290/R134a system

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 2014
Abstract The gaseous PVTx properties of {propane (R290) + 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a)} were measured at temperatures from 252 K to 320 K and corresponding pressures from 200 kPa to 2000 kPa and compositions from 0.4 to 0.65 mass fraction of R290 using the Burnett isothermal expansion method. The uncertainties in the present measurements were

PVTx measurements for the R125 + CO2 system by the Burnett method

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2002
Abstract The PVTx behaviour for the carbon dioxide (CO2)+pentafluoroethane (R125) system was measured by the Burnett method within the range 323–363 K and at pressures from 10 to 5000 kPa. The apparatus was calibrated by means of helium and its performance was checked by measurements of PVT for the mixture components.

PVTx properties in the gas phase for binary HFC-161/125 system

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2006
Abstract The gaseous PVTx properties of ethyl fluoride (HFC-161) + pentafluoroethane (HFC-125) mixtures were measured at temperatures from 305.154 to 393.228 K and corresponding pressures from 1032.5 to 5416.5 kPa using the isochoric method. The uncertainties in the present measurements were estimated to be ±1.5 kPa for pressure and ±6 mK for ...
