Brain Age Estimation on T2‐FLAIR Scans for Application to Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 47, Issue 5, 1 April 2026.
While the brain‐age paradigm has emerged as a promising biomarker of neurodegeneration in multiple sclerosis (MS), most available brain‐age prediction models are based on 3D‐T1w scans, which are not acquired in routine clinical practice. Leveraging a large multicentre collection of scans from healthy controls, we developed an accurate brain‐age ...

Clinical, Genetic, and Imaging Characteristics of SCA27B: Insights from a Large Dutch Cohort

open access: yesMovement Disorders, Volume 41, Issue 4, Page 928-936, April 2026.
Abstract Background Deep intronic GAA repeat expansions in intron 1 of the FGF14 gene were identified in 2023 as cause of late‐onset cerebellar ataxia. Since then, GAA‐FGF14‐related ataxia (SCA27B) has emerged as one of the most common genetic causes of late‐onset cerebellar ataxia.

Design Analysis of a Seven‐Level Active Neutral Point Clamped (ANPC) Inverter Based on Switched Technique

open access: yesRadio Science, Volume 61, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract A novel switch‐based Active‐Neutral‐Clamped (ANPC) inverter for low DC‐link voltage is presented in this paper. The proposed ANPC topology minimizes switches and achieves 1.5 times better voltage gain than standard inverters. The main objective of this design is to reduce active switches in the inverter to increase system efficiency.

Understanding the Autonomous Electric Vehicle Cyber Threat Landscape: A Focus on Infrastructure, Threats and Ontology‐Based Modelling

open access: yesEnergy Internet, Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 39-51, April 2026.
ABSTRACT The development of autonomous electric vehicles (AEVs) represents the convergence of two simultaneous automotive revolutions: electric vehicles (EVs) and autonomous vehicles (AVs). AVs require sensors, decision‐making systems and actuation systems to achieve autonomous driving, whereas EVs require intelligent management and real‐time ...

Quasi‐Z‐source inverter with switched‐coupled‐capacitors

open access: yesIET Power Electronics
This paper presents an improved switched‐inductor quasi‐Z‐source inverter with a higher boost factor than similar inverters, which integrates a switched‐capacitor and a three‐winding switched‐coupled inductor into a conventional quasi Z‐source inverter ...

Virtual Impedance Based Decentralized Control for a Microgrid System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
As greenhouse gases produced from the conventional power plant causes global climate change, using renewable energy sources (RESs) in the future power system is inevitable.

Erythrocyte Fragility in Progressive Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Neurology, Volume 33, Issue 4, April 2026.
While the factors contributing to progression in multiple sclerosis (MS) are not fully understood, circulating extracellular haemoglobin was found to be associated with brain atrophy. In this case–control study of 174 people, erythrocytes were more fragile in progressive MS compared with controls, and greater fragility was linked to lower brain volume ...

ANN‐Based Alternative Controllers for Three‐Phase Four‐Wire Grid‐Connected NPC Inverters

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
The synchronously rotating reference frame (SRRF)‐based proportional‐integral (PI) control technique has been though studied in many different inverter applications, a well‐designed and clearly presented application of this technique for the three‐phase,

Suitability of Pulse Train Control Technique for BIFRED Converter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Pulse TrainTM control scheme is presented and applied to a boost integrated flyback rectifier/energy storage dc-dc (BIFRED) converter operating in discontinuous conduction mode (DCM), which avoids the light-load high-voltage stress problem.

Revision of the EU Green Public Procurement Criteria for Street Lighting and Traffic Signals - Preliminary Report [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Lighting is used on more than 1.6 million km of roads in EU28 countries, accounting for some 35 TWh of electricity consumption (1.3% of total electricity consumption) and costing public authorities almost €4000 million each year.
